  1. Bringing this from another thread to stir the pot more, but the poll that was taken it seems the Apache is a strong possibility since the F-4 has been ruled out for a while...:pilotfly: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=254806&highlight=DCS+aircraft
  2. Apache is high on my list when I quickly reflect what I would like to see, but aside from that wasn't there a thread/poll on these forums somewhere on what aircraft you would like to see in DCS?
  3. Some things are being addressed.... Also...
  4. Also Wags in "DCS World 2020 and Beyond": What could this aircraft be?
  5. I'm with you on that WytchCrypt! As 52 year old, old head, DCS is a dream come true and the carrier module is almost like a steal with the pre-order discounts. :)
  6. What gave you the impression that is was a release?
  7. Well said Flaming Squirrel!
  8. Yeah it's a great deal and I almost feel guilty! I am trying to promote to a couple of friends that have DCSW loaded and some that are teetering on getting into DCS. This is a must have for the DCS naval aviators! Thank you ED!!
  9. I was afraid someone would say something along those lines. I hate the thought, but this is most likely to happen. Still hoping for an ED surprise.
  10. ^THIS^ I'm still hoping something by the end of this month and maybe some news on a release date in this weeks news. Probably overly optimistic, but they have had some nice surprises in the past.
  11. It would be nice to see a surprise in addition to the TWS, but based on what I have seen of the new TWS radar mode coming this patch is awesome already!!
  12. Yep. If I am alive that day I will be watching this!!!
  13. Yeah hopefully there will be more of a substantial newsletter when issued.
  14. It would be nice if they were to sneak the release on us before Christmas. I wonder the reason no date is given now is due to the community flak if they miss the date so instead of announcing it now they could announce the release the same day of the announcement. :music_whistling::pilotfly:
  15. But more so now with functionality coming online with the hornet and the coming carrier module. If the carrier becomes the big fish in some scenarios this will prompt more players to protect it from other potential sea threats. It all depends on the mission builders. Just a thought.
  16. My bad Quigon. Yes I meant ASUW. Thanks for the correction. And yes that was my thought also about the A-G radar really being utilized then. I think you will see more mission being created towards naval warfare.
  17. Thank you moderators for creating this section!
  18. Quick question out of curiosity. What is the preferred weapon/sensor when it comes to ASW? Providing that more mission building leans toward naval assets in the future?
  19. I don't see how this point keeps getting missed. AGREED!
  20. Hornet ground radar isn't necessarily the same as the Viggen's :music_whistling: I agree with you Nooch. It appears that ED has a different path for implementing the A2G technology. It will likely set the framework for other developers to use down the road. I would not be surprised if the Viggen gets a rework to implement ED's A2G tech.
  21. I believe early on it was understood that both planes had a lot of similar tech that was being developed and they would borrow from each other in development. That's the way I saw the plans early on. If anyone that has been around long enough in this community they would understand that SUBJECT TO CHANGE creeps up often and shouldn't debate it, but accept it for the greater good to keeps our hobby going. We have come a looonnng way in this series and we now have access to two very popular fighters with access to systems that I never thought could/would be developed. Take a step back and let that soak in for a moment!
