  1. Some of you guys really need to check and see if you still have a sense of humour. This is a video game, we are all sat at home pretending to be fighter pilots. Try and have some fun once in a while. If you cannot stand it then just for today set your system date to 2nd of April and carry on being grumpy, or do one of the other fixes mentioned earlier in this thread.

    Good Job ED!

Couldn't agree more. Some of the posts on here are unbelievable. "ED have got time to do this but not fix my game, this has ruined my day, I can't play my life is over...". Jeez.

  2. I despair at those posting that they can't play because of a funny April Fools joke that ED put into their own game! It's one day, it's not going to kill you! I think these people need to step away from their joysticks, look out the window, and consider what are the important things in life.

Having said that, ED have posted a workaround, for those that can't cope. Good joke ED, I enjoyed it.

  3. Why miles can be used, miles are achieved through purchasing products same as bonus. They are ending bonus system and new system will be miles but it should be same until bonus expires. SC is on discount why people with miles can use miles and people with bonus cant.

I purchased f18 on pre order which was $60 USD. And now they have bundled supercarrier, f 18 and su-33 for just 64 USD. How eagle dynamic treating their customer is beyond my thinking. I never preorder again if they continue practices like this

I will boycott until they fix this unjust move.

You know if you own the F/A18 you get 50% off the supercarrier, right? I mean, I was going to buy it but then I figured in 20 years time it would come free with DCS Universe 4.5, so I think I'll wait.

On second thoughts, I'll just buy it now, and for only £19.82! :joystick::pilotfly:

  4. Or you can adjust the saturation for the axis to set an outer limit. Set it to slider, I usually set the saturation to about 75 (plus or minus). Retain full zoom, but will only zoom out to the point I allow.

Dunno why folks always want to edit LUAs lol I've been here a long time and not had to do that yet :p

Folks edit the LUA file because they want to set their default FOV for each aircraft i.e the default level of zoom when you press Enter. It is simple to do and means each aircraft will start with your chosen FOV. You can zoom in and out as normal and with a click of a button (or press of Enter) you'll return to your chosen default, however, this isn't as effective if you map zoom to a slider, as the position of the slider will always determine the level of zoom.

  5. I'm really annoyed that some people feel that they are entitled to get these new features for free.

Think about it for a sec.

You bought a 2008 Honda Civic. It did not come with a built in navigation system, just a CD player and radio. Now Honda is releasing a 2019 Civic with a built in infotainment system with bluetooth, navigation and a bunch of other features.

Are you going back to the dealership and demanding to get those new features for free in your 2008 model?

When you bought the Ka-50 back all those years, no one promised you a MLWS and no one promised you Iglas.

Now you have the opportunity to have these things. Buy it or just be thankful that people like me will buy it and fund the 3D model upgrades that you can enjoy for free.

I'm really excited to get the new 3D models(free!) and the new MLWS + iglas. I have the most hours played in the Ka-50 although I haven't played it recently because of the dated visuals and problems. I'm excited to get back into the Black Shark Pit.

The only thing ED, please please please tell me this will come out some time this year.

What a bunch of man babies. if you can’t appreciate the hard work and amount of work they are doing on the shark then settle for free update of model and graphics. I will happily throw more money at them for the new systems modeling. Bunch of drama some of you are about nothing. Man the **** up

 Both of these posts just about sum it up.

  6. You can use a second monitor to output the MFCDs to, combined with Thrustmasters MFCD buttons over the top makes this even more useful.

You can also use a program called Helios to export some of the instruments and dials to the second monitor.

It is all quite tricky to set up and to be honest most of the time I use my second monitor for AIMP, Skype or even TV.

  7. The best way to handle the release is to not expect it. Any of you that have been around when previous modules have been released know darn well that it comes out when it comes out. Worrying about the release date is pointless. Just be happy when it does come out.

    +1

It‘ll get here when it gets here.

The last time I really got genuinely excited about this stuff was back in the „Kickstarter days“ I believe. It really does not pay off.

Couldn't agree more with the above, all this talk and debate about "what exactly is meant by spring?", can you even hear yourselves? I mean, 5 pages!? I understand being excited about the Hornet, I've paid too and I'm waiting but seriously, it'll get here when it gets here!

(oh, and I do remember waiting 9 1/2 weeks for F29 Retaliator on the Atari ST; I swear my grades suffered as a result of being able to think of nothing else for that time! )

  8. I wish someone would get off the pot and fix it, instead of mussing and fussing over what paint jobs the planes have or what the stupid clouds look like.

Hey, it's beta, if you have issues go back to stable. I'm sure the devs could do without the "I want" attitude when they're doing all they can. I for one have not seen these issues and have a lesser rig than you.

  9. Same here, bought the Harrier not long after buying the Hornet, just to see me through. Glad I did though, it's a magnificent machine and thoroughly enjoy it; look forward to the updates from Razbam.

  10. I tried it, thanks a lot for the fix. Please devs it could be add those fixes & others maybe in a hotfix patch?

ED have already said they're working on this, not sure it's urgent enough to warrant a hotfix, especially as 2.5 is beta.

Thanks to Dimitriov though! Your work is much appreciated to see us through until this is fixed

  11. I don't know but I've started to thinking that this is related getting used to new lighting system.

At first, I was finding Gamma: 1.8 nice, as FragBum said, but after a while (and also because of dark cockpit environment) I use 3.0 today and it feels fine! Interesting. :)

Same here, I'm glad someone else thinks like me! I had gamma at about 1.7 to make everything look "good" (i.e high contrast) but now I'm on 2.2. Fly on bright sunny day and adjust external view gamma to reflect blinding sky, cockpits now look much better too!

  12. $02.3 per day since Nov 2010 for my A-10C. Still flying it after all these years. I expect it and the F/A-18 will keep me entertained for many more.

Exactly, a small price to pay for all those hours of entertainment; I also paid $60 (well, GBP equivalent) in Nov 2010 and it's still going strong. Unlike my car, which I paid £2,700 for...
