  2. A few months ago I had major issues with constant yet random disconnects from the major DCS serves (Blueflag, Through the Inferno, 104th) regardless of player count or ping. I temporarily solved that issue with a clean wipe but recently the issue has returned! I'm posting my log on here from just now when i was dropped from Blue Flag Caucasus as I am not fluent in what DCS is trying to tell me with this in the hopes that someone can point out my issue. The error always says disconnected from server or timed out. It does not matter what aircraft I try to fly either. Thank you for any help My setup is TM Warthog Oculus Rift with Corsair keyboard and razer mouse on an I7-8700k with GTX1070 FTW and Corsair 32GB of ram at 3000mhz. I'm running current Open Beta
  3. Hello All, I was working on a historical review of CVW-5's deployment to the Persian Gulf for Operation Iraqi Freedom, particularly CV-63 USS Kitty Hawk and VF-154 Black Knights, VFA-27 Royal Maces, and VFA-195 DamBusters. I am focusing on these three squadrons to try to understand how the F-14A and the F/A-18C worked together in specific missions. My question to you is if there is a place that I cannot find that lists the load outs of the hornet used in this time period as well as what missions were flown specifically. I ask about the Hornet because I can find that the Tomcat hit Al-Hurriyah with one of the first JDAMs dropped by a TARPS equipped Super Tomcat, and that tomcats dropped 4 Mk.82s on Saddams Yacht Al-Mansur, sinking the vessel. However I cannot find any information close to this specific on the Hornet anywhere. Once again I am looking for missions flown by the maces and dambusters from January 2003 to September 2003 yet the only thing I've found is that they were there onboard the Kitty Hawk and the Dambusters lost an aircraft due to friendly fire. If anyone has a website that has squadron history with sorties flown or an operational history of the hornet over that time period please do share. Thank you.
  4. I can't believe after the viggen and mig 21 there are people on here who wouldn't love to have Leatherneck build the viper! The spitfire is beautiful but I love the attention to making the aircraft look used and cared for that leatherneck implements.
  5. Hey guys, With the Forrestal being done from the ground up I was curious as a mission designer what kind of creativity we will be able to have when starting on the boat. Obviously cold and dark in the six pack can be anticipated but will we be able to choose parking placement like Kobuleti for example with parking number etc. Furthermore, would we see an interactive deck? Ideally the most immersion I feel would be sitting in a cold cockpit not cleared for startup because you're in the hanger a tow comes up attaches to you and pushes you to the elevator and up you go to a living deck with launches and recoveries. where you can either be towed to a cat or startup there. Honestly I could see that being a much later add-on for towing capabilities as I hope they don't wait to push the tomcat out based on a guy driving me around on the deck, However I would like to see better AI with carrier ops from the current system of aircraft startup at the cat and landing followed by a taxi to a random spot. It would be a much better system if we could tell the AI in the editor where to taxi to upon arrival and later on watch the deck crew move the craft around afterwards. Anyways, just daydreaming here. By no means am I not fully blown away as is and just want to start spewing popgun quotes as bad as the next guy. What do you guys think about having the ability to have more control over the AI around the boat?
