  1. Is the Bombing Advanced WP Action bugged? I can't get any type of AI to do any type of standard bombing nor runway attack... I've done this many many times and it worked last week and broke this week.
  2. Most if not all of this bird was photogrammetrically scanned from what I understand and that's how the textures are made. Giving the most accurate texturing possible as opposed to "a bunch of little circles" in a bunch of layers. They've given you your answer as to how to get the colors that you want. Heatblur is not any other developer nor is any other developer Heatblur, so comparing paint kits to ED or other devs will get you nowhere. As far as I'm aware this is the first bird in DCS to use photogrammetry. I for one am a fan.
  3. LOL Anyone can paint over the panel lines and dirt man... "just sayin" *As I said, they're doing a great job But it's still waxing a dirty car.
  4. Now I will say that 100NM shots should really only be done against non-maneuvering targets but currently, right now you can't hit a non-maneuvering target at 60 routinely. I'm talking bombers and transports. I already know why as well. The missile starts its terminal dive too late in the profile, therefore, causing the missile to turn 90° to its relative motion to track the target... Problem is when it does that it turns into a giant airbrake completely removing the advantage given by lofting up to store that potential energy to begin with... Terminal dive should be earlier so the missile does not do that and we'll have a proper Phoenix missile.
  5. Got any sources on that there? Because I have some... https://www.navy.mil/navydata/fact_display.asp?cid=2200&tid=700&ct=2 For the TLDR Crowd.. This was shot down at 110NM with an AIM-54A. So I say again.. The missiles are wrong and need to be fixed. HB Can't fix them, ED must.
  6. Flown by one of my guys here at CVW-11. :pilotfly::pilotfly::pilotfly:
  7. It's not even the Tomcat, unfortunately, it's every US missile, not sure about Russian ones. But they all are pretty much wrong, pull too hard, lose all their energy even at RMAX against a closing target. etc etc. Eagle Dynamics controls the weapons in the sim. Until they deem them worthy to fix we're stuck. Secondly, Honza... F-14 was tested to kill *cruise missile* sized targets at 100+ miles. So it absolutely should be able to engage a "fighter sized target" at that distance.. Whether the missile hits or not I don't know or care but the current implementation of the Phoenix Missile is wrong and unfortunately, that's not HB's fault. ED must look into it.
  8. The In-Range cue doesn't seem to be working right currently. What I do is look at the outer/inner circle in the HSI and drop the JDAM about 3/4ths of the way from the outer to the inner and it works.
  9. Start with 20 and see how it feels to you
  10. I believe it's bearing from your aircraft. I.E. 5 degree's right.
  11. May I ask where it's advertised that the developer said "use the standard curves..."? I personally use 20 on all axis, Roll, Pitch and Rudder because I like fine control
  12. If 1 inch of travel is causing you to go to the moon, then you need to put curves in... Know the difference between a PC controller and a real-world aircraft stick? Travel. Put some curves in your control profile, before coming on here and saying it's the devs fault for making a bad aircraft. When really you just don't understand the difference between a game controller and a real one. One of which has 3 inches of travel, the other has 12 or more..
  13. It's supposed to go all over the place man... It's called A PILOTS AIRPLANE for a reason.. You think this thing is supposed to be rock stable while you're yankin' and bankin' you got the wrong idea..
  14. You can do precise right now, that second time you hit enter is for 100ths of a second :smilewink: I use MGRS and convert it to the format needed, turns an 80x80 foot box for the JDAM to hit, into an 11x11 inch box and it works a treat. Give it a try :joystick::pilotfly:
  15. Real simple. Just use MGRS and then type that MGRS into here http://www.legallandconverter.com/p50.html Use the lat/lon at the bottom of the conversion. I.E. 50° 00' 29.52" N 112° 36' 51.84" W On the UFC. N500029 -Enter 52- Enter LON W1123651- Enter 84 - Enter easy peasy explosions!
  16. Agreed. People are doing a great job with their paint schemes but it's like waxing a car while it's still dirty :megalol:;)
  17. Hornet still gets FM tweaks every now and then almost a year in. May not be reported but I notice them.
  18. All good to have mods thank goodness we have them.:thumbup: However, with two desert maps, we need core game functionality.
  19. Desert textures are seriously needed for FARPS and their support structures... As well as the large ammo/fuel dumps. Finding a "dug in" bunker is a bit too easy with this giant green square in the middle of the desert. Especially with the PG being the premiere DCS map...:lol:
  20. It has been in the F-14 since day one. Jester's default mode is TWS Auto and if you have a human RIO, TWS auto works just fine.
