    I know that's the key. Missiles can't do to much against this style (exploit DCS model) of flying.

     

    - Current missiles have no energy to kill +8km fast targets.

    - Bellow 8km missiles can't do enough G against that "hard" maneuvers.

     

    About maneuvers...

     

    Flankers are limited and have consequences if they go over limits.

    Western UFO's can do anything without consequences. Negative G's, Positive G's = no problems. It's a joke. :joystick:

  2. Yesterday when (every time) i connect on SATAL server (64th server) i had DCS Crash. Crash few times if i click on cancel in crash popup window, so DCS crash. Then i realize that DCS is not crashed even that crash window popup, i can scroll, choose slot and enter in game. Then i just move that window outside of my display and yes dcs works.

     

    I need to say that in meantime i try so many servers and no "crashes" and no that popup. So must be some server settings. Also one pilot form our opponents team had same problem.

     

    Track is impossible to load/play, probably because of that crash in background bu i attach it.

  4. The shooting aircraft needs to have a target locked. Fires an R-27ER and keeps tracking. Then he gets hit and crashes but the 27ER keeps tracking like the shooter was still there and supporting.

     

     

    You can still spoof the missile and it will run out of energy and all... but it keeps tracking without support in case the support was quit by shooting down the shooter.

     

     

    No one says its tracking when you fire it without a lock and you're alive. Seems to be a bug happening because DCS fails to tell the missile it's not supported anymore. :joystick:

     

    That about you talking can be lagg. Once i had situation where i kill F15C, avoid his missile and then after 11sec i was splashed by that damn missile that make U-Turn, chase me and hit... after 11sec. Experts here said to me = LAGG (not missile problem). :joystick:

     

    But i'd like to see that bug reproduced few times... again i never seen that.

  5. Ctrl+c / Ctrl+v not work for me after changing map. I don't know why.

     

    But this is enough and everything works:

    1. Open mission with 7zip (open archive) - leave it opened
    2. Right click mission and extract with 7zip
    3. In extracted mission folder find/edit with notepad++ file: mission
    4. find line:
    [code]["theatre"] = "Caucasus",

    change to

    ["theatre"] = "PersianGulf",

    5.Save

    6. In extracted mission folder find/edit with notepad++ file: theatre

    7. Change Caucasus to PersianGulf... Save.

    8. Now drag everything from extracted mission folder into opened archive (from step 1)

  6. To be fair, the real R-27's combat record isn't exactle great. A lot were duds or never hit the target.

     

    Where they are used in real combat, Eritrean-Ethiopian War? If that amount of fired R-27's is enough to say that they are so bad then judging by Yemeni Civil War (2015–present) and Houtis shots they are very nasty ;)

  7. I wouldn`t complain too loudly or they might fix the current bug where R-27ERs are acting like ETs and are homing in on a target without illumination.

     

    14 years in FC/DCS, 100% Flanker pilot - ER's mostly can't reach/hit target, tracking so bad, guidance so bad, ET miss because just one flare and ppl here talking about "R-27ERs are acting like ETs and are homing in on a target without illumination" as some big thing even i never noticed that behavior or make kill on that way. :huh:

  8. Shift click on your units/groups, ctrl+C, load new map, ctrl+V. Should work.

    But heh :smartass: ... I found solution. Easier than we could have imagined. And not only slots, everything is copied, everything. Can be same mission concept but another terrain.

     

    1. Create empty mission with /on new terrain (maybe this step is unnecessary after editing files bellow - will see later)

    2. Open that new empty mission with 7zip (open archive)

    3. Right click on original (old) mission and extract with 7zip

    4. In extracted mission folder find/edit with notepad++ file: mission

    5. find line:

    ["theatre"] = "Caucasus",

    change to

    ["theatre"] = "PersianGulf",

    6.Save

    7. In extracted mission folder find/edit with notepad++ file: theatre

    8. Change Caucasus to PersianGulf... Save.

    9. Now drag everything from extracted mission folder into opened archive (check step 2)

    10 Thats it.. load new mission in ME. Everything is ready, triggers, scripts, sounds.. just arrange units, slots etc..

     

    Ok, you will find everything in some PG map corner and now move everything (units, trigger zones, client aircrafts, ships on right place (where you want), start renaming/adding more, anything ... save mission and result is big mission that took days of work on it is ready in few hours for another terrain.

     

    Can be stupid, can be good but this is good for move/copy as i said mission concept/idea from terrain to terrain. :)

  9. Hi!

     

    Is there any way to copy client slots from in this case Caucasus map then paste (or import) all to the PG map?

     

    I know there are not same airfields, parking slots but i'll be hapy just to have it anywhere then i will arrange it later. Just to I save time naming groups at least etc...

     

    Maybe is possible with edit some mission file, i don't know, didn't try. :book:

     

    Maybe this is for wish list.
