Maybe you can try to compare the performance difference in 4k resolution or vr. Considering your pc configuration and cpu optimization of DCS, it may not show a significant difference in a 1080p or 2k environment.

ED needs to find a balance between game graphics and performance. When players’ hardware can’t support the smooth running of the current game version and lower they graphics settings, they should get the “old version” high-level graphics of the game instead of poor low-level graphics.There are many players who would rather the game graphics level be at 2.5.6 if they can get better game performance. What they really want is the new modules and the new functions of the old modules.

After updating to the latest version, the crash when loading the second mission disappeared, but there is a crash when exiting the first mission. Currently I am using "non-full screen" mode, all crashes seem to disappear, but my game FPS is affected a bit.

I tried all the solutions, only using Win8 compatibility mode can prevent CTD from happening again. But there is a new problem. When using Win8 compatible mode to play, the game will drop FPS every 10 to 20 seconds, and then return to normal. This kind of FPS dropping is really annoying in a smooth game.
