  1. Flying a Huey in a Vietnam Campaign using the Outerra-Engine is my wet dream :joystick:
  2. The only thing im asking for is a new graphics engine. This overaged engine is far from "up-to-date". I know, simulation has special needs regarding graphics and stuff. But DCS really deserves a new dress. Take a look at this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=jVoNMhH_j3Y#
  3. I could'nt even imagine, how much fun that'l be
  4. "1942: Pacific Air War" is the best FS i ever played. Being in midair with 30+ planes around me, a dozen Ships below me...such a intensity...i never felt that again. One of the Milestones of Flight Simulation. Its not only the ultimate realism, that makes a Simulation good. If its a soulless technological klickiklacki...im getting bored. Unfortunately ED could never master such a big thing. The quality of a single Airplane is so high, that it would take many years to build such a game. RIP "1942..."
  5. Flying a A-1 Skyraider in a Vietnam scenario could be interesting. Mustang doesnt sound that exciting to me. Every flight simulator hat his Mustang.
  6. I remember a time, when it was USUAL to get a printed Handbook with the game. The Handbook for a F-16 Sim for the Amiga had 160 pg. DCS A-10 is double that size, but 100$ extra for a Handbook is way too much. If you talking about something special, leather and so on, then that price seems alright. But at first stage i need only a handbook, ring binding is ok. Not everybody can afford that much money for a Handbook.
  7. Hey ED, get the World-Engine from "Outerra" and build a "F-16"-Sim. Ill buy it blind! :D
  8. Load the Sim, fire up the engine and duck your nose right into the handbook. Now you can klickiklack all the switches back an forth as showed by the manual. That way i learn best, cause i can try everything written in the manual parallel in the Pit. Works for me, maybe not for you. But u could give it a shot. Engine startup should be manageable with all the "Startup Procedures" in this Forum. This Sim is on the highest level atm, theres no easy way :D
