  1. Yes turns out it is a bad DIMM, it runs fine on three of my four 16GB DIMMS, Board slots are all fine. MS Memory Test was a complete waste of time! Many thanks for all of your help! Best wishes Pat
  2. Ok uninstalled and reinstalled using DDU in safe mode, now with 457.30. I have the same issue DCS runs for a few seconds then freezes and crashes to the desktop. log file attached. dcs.log
  3. Ok I uninstalled the latest Nvidia driver 497.09 with DDU in safe mode and reinstalled the driver without Nvidia experience. It is still crashing but now just crashing to the desktop so no crash logs yet. I will try to install the previous driver that I was using 457.30 and see what that does.
  4. Ticket raised and crash dump sent with ticket ref. Thanks for the reply I will try to uninstall and reinstall the driver. I have tried this already using DDU but I will try it again and report back Many thanks P
  5. log files added to the original post I will raise a ticket as requested. Many thanks P
  6. HI All, I am having a nightmare getting DCS to run. I have been using DCS no problems in VR with an HP Reverb G2 all ran fine with no issues. I decided to install and M.2 SSD and put some more memory on board Upgraded from 32GB to 64GB (4 x 16GB DIMMS from the ASUS AVL) and since then DCS crashed shortly after I launch the game. I have set up my PC to dual boot so I can separate games from everything else so I have two instances of Win 10 one on each HDD. I have installed 2.7 (not open Beta) and that has the same issue as 2.7 Open Beta. I still have it installed on both drives and it has the same issue in both. I have tried all of the troubleshooting advice that I can find on the forum. I have changed the graphics driver to the latest version. Installed the latest chipset drivers. checked all of my other drivers. I have run and memory test with no issues. I just don't know what to try next? I have attached the full dxdiag text file. system info and diagnostics are as follows. Please Help!! 7. Does anyone know if there is a way to have the altimeter in feet rather than metres? I am mot worried about english labels but if possible it would be good to have the altimeter in feet and the barometric scale in inches or hectopascals
  8. It did take a lot of work, more than I expected but I am really pleased with the results. It needs some tweaking but It looks pretty close!
  9. ok so I worked it out. Here's the result.
  10. I have started to create a livery for my Yak 52 and I am fine with the graphics element but I am not sure how to configure the .lua file so that I can see the livery? Is there a tutorial that would explain how to create a livery from the DCS downloaded template. I have saved the graphics file as a .DDS file by the way so that isn't the issue. Many thanks best Pat Ok so this is what I have so far So far so good. The only issue I have is that the missing text pixelation is showing through. Does anyone know why it is doing this? what have I done wrong?
  11. Hi There I noticed you created some really awesome liveries and I was wondering if you could tell me how to do it? I am trying to create a Yak52 scheme and change the prop to a three bladed MTV9 prop.

          Any help would be very much appreciated

    Best wishes Pat

      Hi,

      Sorry for so late answer.

      For the 3 blade propeller you have to add the following line in the description.lua:

      custom_args =
      {

       [70] = 0.1, -- Bort Number Type1
       [1000] = 1.0 -- 3-bladed propeller

       }

  12. This is over rotated, you wouldn't want to do this in the real aircraft. The procedure for take off is trim set for take off (which is slightly nose up) 70% on the brakes, release and smoothly open the throttle. Hold the stick aft of neutral and keep her straight with the rudder. nose should come up at 90, off at 110/120, hold the attitude for positive rate, gear when out of runway. throttle to 800mmHg prop 82% trim for 170kmh and climb away keeping the ball in the centre. I have a good illustrated flight manual that was translated from russian if that would help?
  13. Hi There I would like some help creating a scheme for my Yak52. I have seen some of the amazing skins that people have created and I would like some help working out how to do it. The Scheme is for G-IUII S/N 9111604 picture attached. **I almost forgot it now has a three bladed MTV9K propeller how can I change this also? Many thanks Best wishes Pat
