  1. Thanks, I’ll look for it. Yeah, I’ve had a hard time reaching some of the side panel switches in the Hornet.
  2. In VR, I had been using the mouse for cockpit interaction. Recently, I turned this off, and mapped mouse buttons to my HOTAS, and have been using the VR cursor and HOTAS for cockpit interaction. If I keep going this route, am I stuck with the VR cursor always being there (being drawn)? Is there a way to activate/deactivate it? Thanks.
  3. Does the Prowler have nav lights, formation lights, etc? If I'm not seeing them at night in a self-made mission, am I doing something wrong on my end?
  4. I had two switches on my HOTAS mapped to do the zoom in VR and center/boresight in VR, but they're no longer mapped. Did these mappings go away or change names, in the last patch or two? I cannot find them now in the control listing. I do have the CJS SuperHornet mod installed. Thanks.
  5. No sir, my mouse cursor spends for a second, then nothing. When DCE_Manager is working, I do sometimes get the error about not being able to download upgrade.txt. I click OK and DCE_Manager starts normally. I just pick another server until DCE_Manager is happy.
  6. Miguel, I reinstalled DCS Server to a shorter path, C:\Program Files\DCS World OpenBeta Server, and DCE_Manager is no longer crashing for me.
  7. I normally run like you, DCS on one computer, and DCE_Manager & DCS Server on another. I have DCS installed on my DCS Server computer, just in case I need to use the Mission Editor. I had only pointed DCE_Manager to DCS as an experiment, when Barthek said it was working for him on one computer, yet crashing for him on another, like what I was experiencing. I then installed DCE_Manager on my DCS computer, and it worked fine, so I was just looking for differences. Sorry to be unclear. If I point DCE_Manager's CDS Root Folder to C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta Server, hit the "Save Path" button, close DCE_Manager, then DCE_Manager will crash the next time I try to start it. The DCE_Manager window never pops up. If I delete log.txt before I do the above, the only thing written to the log is: "2/3/2023 7:34:03 PM Download upgrade.txt" I was going to reinstall the DCS server to a shorter path, something like, C:\Program Files\DCS World OpenBeta Server, just to see if that makes a difference to DCE_Manager.
  8. Thanks Miguel. I think I figured it out, at least how to make it crash. With 4.10.24.52, everything works as expected, if I set: > CDS Root Folder : C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta However, if I set: > CDS Root Folder : C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta Server I can't get DCE to run after that. Could it be that my server path is just too long for whatever you're storing CDS Root Folder in? I can set DCS Saved Games Folder to either of the below, and DCE is fine: > C:\Users\aggie\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta > C:\Users\aggie\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta_server
  9. Thanks. I will try it on a different box, just to see if it works any different.
  10. I had this running fine for a long time, but now I have the problem where everytime I start the DCE_Manager, I get the window in my screen shot below, for a few seconds, then nothing. I don't ever get the regular DCE_Manager window. If I do an uninstall, delete DCE folder from /mods/tech/, then reinstall, DCE_Manager will run one time. It will recreate the /mods/tech folder in my SavedGames, and I can install campaigns. But if I close the DCE_Manager, I can never get it to run a 2nd time. I'm on Win10. I did recopy the lua54.dll to the system32 folder. Any thoughts? Thanks.
  11. I covered my monitor and desk with foam sheets, and that made things better within DCS, but still not as good as I see in the visualizer, or what I see in some DCS videos. I’ll keep messing with it. Ultraleap had a booth at I/ITSEC this week. I did their demos using a Stereo IR 170 and it worked so much better than what I see at home within DCS. They did say the 170 is just a FOV improvement over the Motion Controller. I tried a couple other vender demos that used the 170, and they worked well also.
  12. Thanks edmuss. I've tried really hard to do the exact same hand movement/orientation, with the camera in the same location, and it looks good every time in the Control Panel feed, but not so much in-game. The weirdest part to me is how my virtual index finger will curl into my fist, just before it makes "contact" with the cockpit. In the Control Panel, I'm extending my hand much farther than I am in game, and it tracks correctly. My 38" monitor is the primary surface behind my hands, and it does have the bright white reflection like you mention. I'll try with something non-reflective in front of it. Appreciate your time.
  13. I just started using Leap Motion about a week ago, and I have an issue. The camera is mounted on the front of my headset, and within the UltraLeap Control Panel Camera feed, it appears to be tracking my hands/fingers just fine. I can make a fist, extend my index finger, and extend my arm completely out, and it correctly tracks my fist/index finger. However, in the Hornet, whenever I get closed to hitting something on the UFC or MFD, either the virtual hand's index finger will close and make a fist, or the index finger will close and either my middle finger or ring finger will extend. Very rarely, can I get my virtual index finger to register a touch on any cockpit button. I have pointers turned off. Tracking Mode is set to "Head Mounted." I'm running with the OpenBeta, and have the same behavior before & after the 2.8 patch. Any suggestions? Thanks.

  15. Thanks all. I’ve been tweaking the above and looking at all the info in edmuss’s tuning thread.
  16. I have a new computer, a Reverb V2, and new to VR. I hoping y'all could look over what I've done, and if my performance is what you would expect. Please call out anything I've done wrong or should still do. Appreciate your time. New Alienware with Win 11. DCS OpenBeta, Thrustmaster, McAfee, Mixed Reality Portal and OpenXR is all I've installed. No DCS mods yet. i9 12900KF, nVidia 3090, 64GB DDR5 @4400 mhz. I've setup OpenXR per nikoel's OpenXR Guide thread. Also installed the OpenXR Toolkit. I turned GPU Scheduling and Game Mode OFF Latest nVidia driver, with the following CP changes: MFAA: ON, Power management: Max Perf, Texture filtering Neg LOD bias: Clamp, Texture filtering Quality: High quality, VR pre-rendered frames: 3 VR variable rate super samping: OFF Everything else, left as default. Running the Nellis, Hornet Free Flight mission, I stay at 90 FPS, per the DCS FPS display, with Motion Reprojection OFF, but looking at the terrain at my 9 or 3 o'clock, it has an annoying amount of stutter. If I turn Motion Reprojection ON in OpenXR Tools and the OpenXR Toolkit, I stay at 45 FPS, but the terrain rolls by smoothly. Motion Reprojection does cause some side effects to my cockpit displays, mainly notice it on my AA radar page. I prefer it ON by far. Syria, Hornet Free Flight mission, I stay at 30 FPS, but no stutter. My DCS Settings:
  17. I had been switching the ECM switch to "XMIT" via Capt Zeen's Helios Profile. I noticed the physical switch in the cockpit wasn't moving when I moved it via Helios. If I use the cockpit switch, it works.
  18. Agreed guys. In the track above the Su locks me up and hits me with a R-27ER. I expected the jammer to turn on once the Su locked me up.
  19. I have never been able to get the ASPJ to jam. I'm flying the current open beta, but this has been an issue for me since the feature was introduced. I was hoping someone could tell me what step I'm missing. My ECM switch is set to X-MIT. The OSB label at T1 on my EW page says "ASPJ XMIT", but I have never seen "JAMMER ON" on my AA Radar page, regardless of what threat is engaging me. I've attached a track of just myself, an E-2, and a SU-27. The SU is about 80 miles out, co-altitude. We merge until the SU nails me with a R-27ER. I'm ignorant as to how jamming is modeled within DCS, but I assume the SU-27 radar freq is within the range of the Hornet's jammer. Appreciate your time. JammerTest.trk
  20. I get it, just doing the Hornet's Syria Free Flight Instant Action mission. Both myself and the AI wingman have it. No changes to the mission were made. ModexTest.trk
  21. If you like, you can get rid of the two red, green, blue, RGB's from either edge of the topstrip. They are a sim'ism that's pre first flight, when the simulators had rear lit projectors. It was a quick way to know if we lost a particular color. I know they're in a lot of simulator videos out there, but not on the jet.
  22. Thank you. I'm going to start playing with Helios this weekend.
  23. I'm building a generic pit with two monitors, one for heads up and one for heads down. The heads down monitor will be incased within MDF, similar to how RomeoKilo did his here: https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/englis...omeokilo-s-pit I've been playing with exporting things to my heads down monitor, and I can export the MFD's and the IFEI of the Hornet just via the lines in the indicator's _init.lua. I've exported the Hornet's RWR this way, and I see the same issues others have posted about here. My question is, if I want to export the RWR and some of the other Hornet gauges, such as the Altimeter and the Artificial Horizon, is using Helios my best route? I've just started reading about Helios, and I wasn't sure if I could use it to export and position individual gauges/displays, if I made my own profile? Am I better off doing everything via Helios, MFD's included? My plan was to drive both monitors from one computer, but I understand if I use only Helios, I could drive my heads down from a second box, if I need the extra horse power. Thanks in advance for any advice.
