  1. @7:22 you can see a drag chute deployment a few meters above the runway, pretty cool IMHO:) (Tu-154, twin-otter...can do it too) Anybody have some info on this procedure for the 21? was it used in emergency only? or was it a standard procedure for short runways? Going to try this in the sim when I have time, hope it works out ok;) Thanx!
  2. The conceptualized mindset of the community is that it is the F-14, therefore according to Occam's razor, it must be ;) Thanx for the grate interview!
  3. Well done research & explanation Curly:thumbup: Now that the devs have all the data they wanted, it's show-time! 7 days after your post & still no answer from the devs is troublesome though!
  4. Didn't know that, explains it for the 21, thanx:) I've created many own made ILS & NDB approaches for the UH-1, F-86 & Mi-8. That's why I wonder about the 21's minimums
  5. Does anybody now what the minimums for an PRMG(ILS) approach are for the Mig-21bis? Also I heard that the minimums differed in war & peace time, is that true? The manual mentions that an ARK(NDB) approach should never be attempted, was that true for the Mig-21 IRL? I was under the impression that ARK approaches were used extensevly in the USSR. Thanx!
  6. This is my experience also & I really would want someone to answer this: Is the piper working correctly & why does it differ so much from F-86 & P-51? Edit/ Ok I have done some tests & the piper is only effective <300m which is really close, see pictures below taken from 800m, 500m, 300m...in other words you have to be really close;).
  7. Need that for multiplayer:thumbup:
  8. Thanx for the explanation guys:thumbup: Hopefully a thorough explanation of the BLC system will be included in the manual.
  9. Wow! that's very surprising & interesting to hear. Wonder how long the lifespan of the wooden part was & how resilient it was? Must have been cheap to replace :)
  10. My thoughts, next it got to be the F-14, then I think Mig-23 after that something western again....I hope LN will keep the eastern then western pattern going.
  11. I can certainly feel the lift loss if I throttle back to much during the landing flare. But it doesn't show in outside view, the flaps remain in exactly the same position, even with 0 power, is it not visually implemented yet or is it a bug?
  12. I especially like the new in cockpit engine sound, it adds a grate deal to the immersion, awesome update guys! thanx

    sound files?

New in cockpit engine sound, grate job guys! I like it very much
  14. One of my favorite aircraft! I would love the SU-22 in DCS:thumbup: Do you know of any Polish SU-22/17 skin for DCS?
  15. Somebody forgott to pay the god damn bill for LN's website....it's all his fault
  16. Thanx for the update! Sounds awesome LN, looking forward to the Mig-21 improvements  & also to the next aircraft announcement ;) Congratts on the success of Mig-21 & expansion of the company!
  17.   It's not unreasonable, nor does it dumb down any realism whatsoever, to add an toggle option for any cover, button or leaver. I just want to have this option as I'm flying with trackIR & sometimes trying to point at a button with the mouse & trying to keep the mouse steady & at the same time flip or push is really hard & time consuming......& that's unrealistic IMHO, since we are not sitting in the real cockpit but in front of ours PC's;)
  18. Happy New 2015 Leatherneck, your Mig-21 is the best
  19. Thanx a lot for the link:thumbup: To be honest I'm having difficulties understanding how to use it. I'll just have to study this more. Wish LNS could include this in the manual or somebody would make a tutorial about it:)
  20. I'm seeing the "fixed net" in front of me the whole time on the hud & in the manual it says: " "When engaging agile airborne targets which maneuver with more than 3-4g, you need to use the fixed net for targeting. This is because the pipper intercept angles could go beyond 7°, and the pipper can’t be drawn within the ASP reflection glass." But there's no explanation on how to use it in the manual? So how is the fixed net used in the Mig-21, in Air-to-Air with the cannon?
  21. If you want it realistic then you should get rid of all the key-bindings all together & only use joystick & rudder ha ha. Please Leatherneck give us the toggle option, at least for us that wants them, (the rest can still have the on-off option) it's a real pain to assign all the commands & remember them:helpsmilie:
  22. The X-55 is for right hand only flying, that's the only drawback for me as I fly FSX too, otherwise I would have got it! Currently I'm very happy with my X-52 but those split throttle axis & different resistance springs on the X-55 are surely grate to have.
  23. I find the "flight director" localiser bar over sensitive, even though I'm lined up it "wobbles" to left & right like crazy, making flowing the FD manually extremely difficult in bad weather? Also the SAU landing mode directional disengages several times during the approach?
  24. CoBlue

    Fantastic

After all the training missions completed & quite a bit of flying. I have to say that this has become my nr:1 all time favorite aircraft in DCS ;) Super well done job! Leatherneck Simulations
