  1. yes that's why I wrote here, btw it's not for me, it's for a friend of mine that run out of activations after an OS upgrade...
  2. IF we run out of activation, where do we have to ask for some help? Thanks
  3. Niceone Tomcatz, just the canopy and nose in general is not convincing me and I also agree with Mustang, some people really suck.
  4. 50 bucks for a Tomcat with the flaps sound of the cessna?
  5. there are many, f16 style, custom style, make it yourself style, with airspeed, groundspeed, altitude (baro), distance from pilot, heading to take off area... temperature of motors... rpm.. whatever you need. I use no HUD but my airplanes are gyrostabilized, plus they have 4 infrared cameras to remain levelled with the horizon and they have autopilot to follow waypoints or back to takeoff area if I fly over the max range of radio. The hold position feature of quadrocopters works better of the ks50 auto hover.. eheh
  6. true, but here we cannot shade the butons with our hands, so maybe a compromise with realism and usability would be good
  7. It's a new way of piloting rc aircrafts.. in first person view like in a sim using real tame video cameras mounted on the cockpit, with pan/tilt camera moving with the pilot's head just like with he trackIR...
  8. I know the z800, it's used from some guys of the FPV community, but more than resolution what we're looking for it's the angle of view.. and brightness/contrast/colors, the best comes out to be the Headplay goggles...
  9. no guns but I practice formation flight with a guy from my team IAT.
  10. generally in moviemaking we use ND (Neutral Density) filters, filters that are simply grey and reduce the amount of light that hit the film on the sensor, in this way we can use slower shutter speed and get a more natural looking image (slightly blurred... more of what you see in DCS).
  11. Totally agree I use this pair of goggle http://www.rc-tech.ch/web/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=shop.flypage&product_id=20&category_id=18&manufacturer_id=0&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=26 plus a 7" lcd monitor mounted on the TX. On my head I also use a 2 axis gyroscope that works the same as the trackIR and it pan/tilt my cameras as I move my head. I do aerial photography professionally but mainly from real helicopters, now I'm setting up a new airplane with HD cameras and a Quadrocopter for professional use, starting from nex spring. These are some video editing that I've done while testing the stuff last year. http://www.vimeo.com/album/35104
  12. did you guys know that MS makes nvidia drivers?
  13. I'm for textured blurred rotors like many other games.. no need of real blur for now.. but at least a fake blur would be appreciated.. it's nicer to see the "disk" instead of flashing blades..
  14. I don't think it's correct or uncorrect... I think it's up to your piloting style and necessities, this is for sure if you need to maximize efficency and forward speed, a well coordinated turn helps !
  15. What vibrations are you talking about ? from un umbalanced cyclic in a KA50? from the engine (from a turbine??) ? or vibrations from weapon like cannon? Fish, fish are scared my jumps when I run across the river near my house, I don't thing they would be undisturbed by an hovering ka50... the sim is realistic! you have to look for fish under the rocks or plants! they're hiding !
  16. that's what I like Arneh, I don't think in a heli sim this is a secondary aspect when we talk about visual. Also for the blade tip light thing that I said in the very first post.
  17. I see my subscribed threads list in bold even if no new messages has been posted, if you close the browser and reopen it and go to New Subscribed Threads they're all bold. Shouldn't the be bold only when a new message is posted? Thanks
  18. A positive thing would be if game makers talk more with visual experts like photographers or professional cameramen to have some extra information about how things should look in a game, otherwise some parts will result unrealistic not because of software limitations or coders limitations but simply because of wrong choices or limited knowledge on the specific field (visual effects, real world). An image expert can fully understand and better notice these things. Things that are probably not difficult to implement but if you don't see them you don't do them...
  19. oh ok, probably it's that. My bro (Microsoft developer) told me that there are many other features that increase the fps but I don't know anything about coding and stuff so I just take his informations as good...
  20. totally agree with you. but such a nice sim with that fake rotor spinning/flickering effect...
  21. no no ,simple gameplay... (but in any case i also like it in screenshots, sim or real, but in this case it's all about the interpretation of the photographer and about what and how he wants to show it).
