For a guy that actively stalks me, you also know i make campaigns and missions for the modules i love, and have been an active participant for the Dora. So please stop trying to put non existing words in my mouth. Buy a phone, when it stops being sold it gets abandoned, then the support stops. This basic premise has been around since the dawn of electronics. Beccause of the business model we have, we cannot expect ED to put money into modules that dont sell, That would be the equivalent of Nokia trying to keep the 3310 going.. By actively looking at which modules are constantly updated, we can gauge which modules are selling well, and gauge which modules arent.. Its business basics.. You dont flog a dead horse.. Relax, and maybe find someone else to argue with.

I really love this point of view, Youre right, and the truth is, everyone in the Poll is contributing in one way or another- It doesnt matter what you pick. I didnt want a Poll that was biased to any one subject, and so i left it vague in the interest that some people would share their views. I think alot of people want something or another from the game, i see the benefits of why a monthly subscription service might be enjoyed. But i can understand why people might not want that. But until users like yourself explain how they feel, we just wont really have that much insight in towards a real poll with understanding and well thought out answers.

Yes, i agree too. Yeah, I look at the idea as like 'buying a magazine' with free stuff. Im not really bothered if i get anything of value, but im interested in progress, and id be interested to see if it might shift ED into a major contender and push development heavily from the insource of cash, kind of like how EA went when they started EA Access (Before EA Play). Originally i hated the idea, but in hindsight, it was a great move. My nephew just bought into every game EA have on the Play subscription, and it only cost him £20 for the year. I cant argue with that. I guess im trying to figure out why people wouldnt want access to stuff at a small cost. It doesnt bother me if they do, or they dont.

Calls DCS 'best Value SIM', Waits to buys modules cheaper in DCS Sale .. Anyone that spends more than a couple of the weeks in the TF51, has obviously gone on holiday and left his game running. Players numbers are available if you look for them. Im going by the player numbers that are available, and by the amount of posts that have been made in the forum. As i said, The SU25 is awesome. But there is nothing 'As Awesome' for the WW2 game, so im guessing with the complaints made recently towards WW2, ED are going to drop a better module than the TF51. Theyve said theyll be dropping more assets for the Marianas WW2 Map, so ill wait and see if it happens.

Well yeah, The way ED see's it- Theyre doing US a favour for taking over the kickstarter.. We should be grateful yeah? In hindsight, Id rather they hadnt', I understand why they did, and it was very honourable, but id rather they never did, and left the game alone so they could carry on focusing on the modern game, and leaving those that wanted warbirds to go to 'the other game' for now. They could have come back after they they'd accomplished some great stuff with the modern side of the game. And built one hell of an awesome Warbird Combat sim too if they felt there was a market for it.. But with how far weve come and how far weve got, how many were years are we away from that, Im betting at least 10. Weve had 4 years since the release of the Asset Pack, and theres still no sign of other AI fighters, Bombers, Civil assets, or even Buildings. This is not down to the team that work on that module, but down to ED for outsourcing that design because they felt it wouldnt bring enough money in, if worked on full time by them.. And instead of having one amazing modern combat game, and then adapting that to Warbirds. We have what we have now. An Open Beta sim, with loads of other stuff thrown in out of the obligation to make those that opted into the kickstarter, feel like they didnt get ripped off.. Dont get me wrong, we have some fantastic WW2 flight models to this game, but thats it. Its not yet a WW2 combat sim, but flight sim? Sure, and most definitely.. And thats okay too. Maybe in 20 years, we'll have something that brings home the gameplay, the players, and the feeling of delirium being excited or scared to be up against an AI that might be a hurricane, a typoon, or tempest, but right now, we dont have anything near that and as Op said 'I might not be around when this game is finished'- And im 38..

WW2, is a niche.. A HUGE niche. And it only accounts for a sliver of the DCS players, The gameplay is much stronger in the modern game and developing a Warbird Is more simple than an FA18 and so doesnt need the same amount of resources as a warbird doesnt have the same amount of systems.. If the numbers were matched in modern jets we'd be seeing a different story. However, sales are the foreteller of development. Unless we manage to match sales of the modern planes, we cant expect the resources to match the modern side as it wont be profitable in the grand scheme of the game. Until we either get more players into Warbirds, or ED decides to better market that part of the game, things will carry on as is. So just try to enjoy what we have. I can relate to that, i think thats a good solid conversation. Communication to the users and the way us users communicate back- has long been the problem here. The minute you offend someone through opinion, the arguing starts, and before you know it, its spread like wildfire to the post. I just hope it gets better, Ive waited for a long time and im in limbo right now, id love to see some actual fixes instead of the usual 'just wait unti you see whats coming', carrot dangling hype.. Hellcat, Im pretty sure we need a free warbird next, we cant expect the awesome SU25 to be playable, and live with the TF51 for much longer. The warbird game is dragging out way longer that it should have been.. Yeah the modules are top notch, but the gameplay.. Just isnt on the same level..

For what? Peoples opinion changes. Fresh data is good for everyone. Everyone that’s clicking ‘yes’ is a customer that actively wants to help grow the game. And the percentage is the revenue that ED is missing out in each month. While this poll is purely hypothetical, it’s interesting to see people put their money where there mouth is when they say they ‘want to support DCS’..

I mean it’s a matter of a persons individual taste. As a whole I’ve only ever played multiplayer. If I want to learn how to do something I’ll watch a grim reapers video and jump into a multiplayer game and learn then and there with a bunch of peeps. Ive never bought a campaign and with the exception of the odd couple of times in the editor, I’ve never played a single player mission. I did ask a few of the peeps in my discord and 6 people also had the same view. Only 2 people in my discord actually and actively played single player as well as multiplayer. Back to the post in hand, and assets aside. When were all online we are either all in the Dora or the Spit. so they’re the only two I’d personally recommend when in multiplayer. Next time I’ll just say ‘to play in the populated servers’ rather than get mixed up in the definition or word ‘multiplayer’.

Would it be possible to update the original list you made over on the original post please and make it a sticky thread too. its been a long time since it was created and some insight into assets that are planned might perk a few users up.

Was there any reason why they stopped producing assets? I saw the list from Nineline in 2017.. Did they leave the project? Compared to the free ones ED have given us, I cant imagine why the pack isnt finished?
