  1. I wish I knew! If I had any idea at all I could start troubleshooting to at least narrow down possibilities. Ohhhh, nice idea. I'll make sure my room is very bright next time around.
  2. Actually, yes I have. It’s happened several times with nothing consistent between each occurrence. The only thing that solves the issue is to exit and run the game again.
  3. Hello all, The title says it all. When creating a flight plan VIA the F-10 map, what is the proper abbreviation for the terminating waypoint or landing airfield? I'm asking because, without a termination point, the last WPT points back to WPT1. I know this is pretty nit-picky, apologies ahead of time.
  4. Embarrassed to ask, how does one re-center the view in-game? For whatever reason, my default orientation once in the cockpit is 45 degrees off-center. The old Rift I replaced had a controller-driven menu option that quickly recentered the view in two clicks. I'm sure it's 100% operator failure, but if anyone could throw me a bone, I'd appreciate it.
  5. I’ve read in several places all 50 of Pakistan’s Block 1 Jeffs will be upgraded to Block 3 standards, although as of March ‘23 none have entered service with the PAF. Are there enough Jeff Enjoyers to make a Block 3 paid upgrade a viable endeavor at some point? I understand my wild ideas are easy to suggest but way, way, way harder to code and release. Probably impossible for many reasons that I’m willfully ignoring, but I thought I’d ask. (I’m guessing so much will change with the B3 upgrade an in-game B3 Jeff would be a whole new module internally)
  6. Agreed. Wish there was a BlueFor Jeff squadron. It really is an awesome module, I don't know why more don't fly it. My main squeezes are Jeff, F-14, and Huey.
  7. From upper left down: TGT MODE: Target Of Opportunity (TOO) - use when you find something to bomb during the mission. An opportunity, not a planned attack. Pre Planned (PP, not shown)- Exactly what it says. A target you knew about, knew it’s location and have planned all along to attack OPTION SNGL - one drop per Weapon Release press PAIR - (not pictured) Drops a pair of whatever per Weapon Release press IMP AZ - you got me, I forgot (doh!) OAP - forgot, sorry Space: - if you drop a pair, or more, literally the timing between each individual both drop in the series IMP ANG - drawing a blank here. What’s your switchology during this presentation? If you tell me that, I’ll be able to deduce the fields that aren’t ringing a memory bell. The good news is the aircraft is very user friendly. Once you figure out this screen’s information, you’re going to get (basically) the same presentation for each air to ground weapon. You’ve made a great choice learning the most underrated and most complete module out there. let me know if I can help! hobo 1-1 on GAW, PGAW, TNN and Lima Kilo Levant
  8. I've been having problems with my Virpil Warbird/F-14 grip combo in-game that I can't replicate outside of it. Within the Virpil config software, each switch throw is functioning correctly. Off to gun, to sidewinder, to sparrow/ph, and back to "off" with no detected dysfunction. Each switch reports back correctly when tested. However, in-game moving from off to any of the weapon choices causes a flurry of ghost selections in rapid succession sometimes winding up at the right selection, but many times not. To solve the problem I have to reselect the correct choice until the series of rapidly changing choices settles on the correct selection. Super frustrating. Any ideas?
  9. Excellent, sweeping, grand and beautiful shots. Really great stuff. The one thing I would offer purely in the interest of providing what you asked for is to make sure each shot has a place in the overall story. I got the just of what was happening, but rather than each shot telling a story it seemed like, although empirically beautiful, each was separate and not necessarily related to anything else. Please take my suggestion with a huge grain of salt: I couldn’t produce anything like this. Well done!
  10. Just a quick note to say the EA manual is excellent.
  11. Hello all, I've decided to learn the Viper in earnest and need to ask about the RWR. Playing on Hoggit's GAW server, going through the startup process one step at a time, get to the RWR and turn it on and BAM! Constant, unrelenting lockon warble. More like a screeching, nerve wracking noise. I get why it sounds this way and how to turn the volume down. The thing is, just sitting in parking the RWR was picking up a Mig-29 "lock" on my aircraft. A continuous, unrelenting twittering throughout startup, through taxi, through line up, through take off, through climb out, through turn to my waypoint, minutes upon minutes of this continuous, God awful twittering lead to me selecting a new airframe and soldiering on. Do any of you more-knowledgeable pilots have any tips or tricks? I want to learn the Viper (been flying the Jeff for a while), I know I can't be the first person to "complain" about this. Any help? Thanks in advance for any help anyone might offer.
  12. Ohhhhhhhhhhh……thank you!!
  13. I hear you. I really, really enjoy the Jeff and also wonder why more don’t give it a shot. The goal for the real Jf-17 was for a much less expensive replacement to the F-16 that roughly mimic’s the Falcon’s performance and capabilities. They succeeded. Ultimately it’s less capable than a modern F-16, but keep in mind the Falcon has been steadily developed since the 1970’s. I think the capability/performance deficiencies compared to the Falcon are on the margins, particularly for our game. I ‘argue’ the Jeff is one of the most complete, polished fully released jet modules out there, if not the most complete. I have a lot of fun with it and find it’s quirks part of its personality. It’s not for everyone, but I love it.
  14. Not that I am aware of. I love the Jeff too, but it does have some weird quirks like no TACAN while using the data link and no ability to lock on to emitters. We have a Block 1 Jeff with a Block 3, optional, refueling probe and that extra bit of kit is purely for gameplay’s sake. Otherwise, if the real Block 1 600 can’t lock ground emitters, neither can we.
  15. This may be urban legend or forum lore and not actual fact, so take this with a grain of salt: I've read the HMD is a possibility for the module, but only if Block 1's are retroacively outfitted with them in real life. If they aren't (most likely wont be), we wont get any HMD love. If Block 1's are retrofitted, we get the love.
  16. Hello, VR user (don't know if that has anything to do with this or not). I am seeing spontanious SD-10 launches as I click around the cockpit performing non related functions. It's happened as I select a new Wp VIA the UFC, it's happened while scaling the right MFD VIA button press (versus joystick bind) and it's happened as I sat satisfied with myself in transit to the objective doing......nothing. Am I off my rocker? My VR hand controler isnt active unless I grab it, so I don't think it's inadventant/mistaken hand controller input as I am unaware there is another way to fire SD-10's other than the mapped joystick button. Off my rocker or known issue?
  17. Hello, a little perplexed. I started on Steam back in early 2020. Transfered to ED's stand alone launcher/transfrered licenses, etc, NP in 8/20. I've steadily bought modules and campiagns. Not trying to sound like a schmuck, but there's only a handful of A/C (and accompaying campigns) I don't own. Tonight I logged in, in online mode, and most of my modules failed to authorize. The message tells me I have 2 days of authorization before I need to authorize again, but within the GUI most of the modules are greyed out. Persian gulf, Normandy and The Channel aren't greyed out, but none of the instant missions that happen on those mapss are available to me and to top it off, the campaigns just aren't listed either. I figured SNAFU. After a deleteing A-10II and attempting to redownload it, I couldn't. The only option was to buy it again. Confident this too was a simple mistake I signed in to my acccount and am stunned to noticed a whole bunch of content that I bought isn't listed under my license agreements. Not those transfered in from Steam and not those I bought here. Help.
  18. What a fantastic reply, thank you. I respect the enormous amount of love put into your Tomcat. I enjoy the module every day and that’s because of your hard work. I respect and appreciate your artistic decisions and think, believe it or not, we agree. Without belaboring the point further, you state very well what I didn’t. Thank you sir! Possible solution
  19. Let's use some Beta Tester logic. We are in a thread about alternate cockpits motivated by the state of the current cockpit, specifically around legability of instruments and labels. I've specified exactly what's hard to read in the front cockpit. You've asked me three times if I can't see what you claim is _clearly readable_. What do you think my answer is? We know *you* don't have this problem (as you've mentioned three times), but what do you think my answer is based on this topic, this thread, these comments and my comments to you? Thank you for contributing (three times!) that *you* don't have this problem, but I'll clue you in to something outside of your sim pit: some of us do. Actually a lot of us do. It's also worth mentioning, that yes, I *can* see the switches you mention, but that was never my complaint. I understand in the fleet Tomcat cockpits were dirty. I couldn't care less if the scanned cockpit is too pretty based on real life (but I dont buy that, at all) - this is a game and I dont derive my self worth from torturing myself, because reality. I would like a more romantic cockpit with easily legible markings, labeling, etc. You repetitivly asserting you don't have an issue is just peachy, but doesn't move the ball forward and doesn't erase the shared reality of many Tomcat enjoyers that much of the cockpit labeling is worn beyond servicability.
  20. Thanks man! That is an awesome mod, but doesn’t pass IC. It’s a shame, because it’s an exhaustive mod. Load screen, music and sweet, sweet legibility.
