  1. Good stuff. Here is my mission if anyone wants to reproduce rb75test.miz
  2. Let's take 11 seconds and appreciate the amount of details in this game, out of everything that is being modeled, I did not expect the suspension of the technicals to be modeled as the gun is firing. https://medal.tv/games/dcs-world/clips/Sh1hz7VHl8F6_/d1337PbOwzO1?invite=cr-MSxVUDQsMTAwOTg0NjQyLA
  3. I was doing some MT / ST testing and was using RB75 as a test mission, and I got a weird issue if I run in ST, if I activate the RB75 seeker view and look in certain angles directly ahead, things starts to flicker like crazy. This does not exist in MT mode, and will be what I will be playing anyway. Here is a short clip of the issue in ST mode on the Syria map. Did a repair of DCS just to be sure everything was as it should, but the issue remained. https://medal.tv/games/dcs-world/clips/Z3glwHTVygxun/d1337k9RHTSb?invite=cr-MSw0UmUsMTAwOTg0NjQyLA
  4. Checked my pictures and found a pic with the real deal Looks a bit different, sure looks like some sort of protection or some cable should go through it
  5. Looking forward to see it in action for the first time since I was a kid in the 80's
  6. That is indeed a little workaround, was thinking about something similar myself, but I feel like there should an option to install the module on a different drive through the module manager.
  7. So as each big update comes along, the amount of available disk shrinks and eventually I start to run out of disk due to the size of terrains, like Syria for example. I reached a point where my DCS installation is just too big to fit the terrains as well, forcing me to uninstall them. Meanwhile, I still have some 160 GB disk left on my D drive for example, which is a nice SSD as well, so my suggestion / wish is that there should be possible to choose which drive to install at least the map/terrains on, while rest of the modules are not that large, but the terrains are huge. null
  8. Check out the 4YA servers, they have a bunch of PVE and a couple of PVP servers, thats where I started off with multiplayer, and still play on those servers.
  9. Depends on what server you join, some are PVP, some are PVE. There is a few dogfight servers out there. Read the description (briefing) when you join a server. You should be able to select a slot the type of plane(s) you own, and it should be somewhat clear which side you are joining, bluefor or redfor , uppe part is blue force and redfor the bottom part. If you have the plane but cannot select a slot, there might be a script on the server preventing you from selecting that slot, it may be that the airfield is under enemy control and not captured by your team yet, preventing you to spawn. You can only fly the planes you own, that is how DCS works. So if you have not bought a module yet, you can only fly SU-25 and the unarmed P51 or whatever plane it is
  10. OK so I did some more testing I did not have any devices except keyboard for the power lever, activating the synchronise hotas fixed the problem, now it kept going and upon mission start you can see the power lever going forward instantly upon joining the cockpit. I tried to disable the sync and yet the same issue appeared, so it seems like when it is not in sync mode, it (randomly?) starts in either 0 power or full power. But the only difference here is the colletive input when in sync mode, the collective input should have no impact on the power lever no? even if you have the lowest collective input I assume it is not supposed to go to power off on the lever. I also got the issue if I put my collective to 0 upon mission start, then the power lever stayed at off sometimes, so I assume it needs some power to get going. Not an expert on the apache if that is how it works or not, just what I see
  11. After some more playing last night, this also happens when hot start in the air, so it is not limited to hot start ground, at least on my end
  12. So I was doing my usual practice setting everything up in the mission editor to speed things up, however, I notice whenever I restart the mission, a lot of times the helicopter starts with throttle lever to OFF and it starts powering down as soon as I join unless I quickly move the throttle lever manually. Sometimes I start with throttle on "fly" sometimes it starts at OFF, no input from my end. Not sure if it is just something on my end or a bug, couldn't find any bug report regarding this. Reproduce by go to mission editor, place AH-64D on hot start on ground, join in, quit mission, restart it and repeat a few times. Map: Syria
  13. Judging by the log file main issue seems to be running out of memory failed to create structed buffer. Reason: E_OUTOFMEMORY
  14. I used to be on stable for a long time but switched over a year ago to beta, if you want all the updates in a timely manner, go beta, with the risk of some bugs and issues that usually gets resolved in a week or two, but in general, I have not regret going open beta at all, takes too long between stable updates in my opinion.
  15. So happy that Wags has been returned safely, and congrats on the promotion! Hope he mention his new rank in his next video.
  16. Help us Lord Wags, you are our only hope
  17. This design part was extended from being limited to airfields and roadbases to be able to land anywhere in any way possible, the soviets followed this alien tech with great interest.
  18. So I have started tinkering more with CA lately and is trying to do some immersive single player missions with ground units only, all is well except the mission start part, since the vehicles does not get a spawn selection like airplanes do, the player must go F10, find my particular vehicle I intend to be used for the mission, and then the player needs to click the tank icon to join. So my wish would be to be able to select the driveable ground unit like any other airplane upon mission start. Perhaps a checkbox to allow it to appear upon mission start to avoid having spawn list cluttered with all available ground units in a mission where it can be both a lot of planes and ground units available.
  19. So I am making my first combined arms missions and it is coming along nicely and I think some people might be entertained, however, the biggest flaw I see right now is that when you start the mission you do not get to select a slot like you do with planes, so you have to go to F10 map and look around for the vehicle and then take control over my specific player vehicle, which I don't like. So question is: Can I force a player to take control of a specific vehicle at mission start so you don't have to find it on the F10 map?
  20. That explains a lot, since everything is new it's hard to know what's a bug or what's not. Thanks for clarifying, then I guess a close "as is"
