Hi everyone, I have a big problem on my laptop and I don't know how to resolve. When i play DCS (with a normal or low settings) sometimes i get Stuttering (no micro Stuttering) that can dure 2-5 seconds. So i download the msi afterburner to see what is happening, and i discovered that when the stutters happend, my cpu % and my gpu % go down (between 5% to 0% both) Also i check some other stuff like temperature and memory usage and all is okay. ( I use 12gb of my 16 gm ram, i use 3 gb of my 4 gb of the GPU, and the temperature was fine). Also i disable windows defender, so that is not the problem, also make some change on nvidia tu gain performance, etc. So if everyone knows why my CPU and GPU go down let me now pls. I have years of DCS behind me with a subpar experience. But when you fly at 30ish frames per second, i guess you get used to it. The other day, on a whim, I thought I'd play with video settings. Anti aliasing is probably the most functional setting. It helps make the HUD and instruments clear and readable. So I've always had it on and never considered turning it off. But guess what? Turn off MSAA and then instead turn AA on in your video card software...BOOM! Looks better and my FPS doubled. I went from 24-36ish FPS to a consistent 60 Hope that help!

Nop, i dont use that. But I realized something. When I started a very heavy mission, it produced too many jerks, but when I restarted it several times and went through the same place, these jerks decreased more and more. It gives me the impression that the load of the objects was the problem (maybe my hhd its very slow and the jerks its due to that?). Hope I explain it well, hahaha

Trying to fix the Jerks, i increase my virtual memory in my HDD because i have the game there (and help me alot) but you say that it's better to change that to the SSD even if i don't have the game there?

This increased my performance, but did not completely eliminate the jerks, it only reduced them as much as possible. I think DCS is the problem, not our computer. También me fije y dcs exige disparejamente a los núcleos, en concreto, uno mas que otros. Por lo que si eso te sirvió, lo intentare!

Me da la impresión que ese es el problema, me he decidido por comprar una ssd buena. Ya que cuando me ocurren esos bajones de fps, mi hdd esta trabajando al máximo. Y ademas, me a ocurrido que al apretar f10 para ver el mapa y luego f1 para volver al avion, el terreno desaparece y solo se ve mar, hasta que vuelve a cargar, ojala que sea el hhd el problema. Lo acabo de hacer y me vienen los tirones de vez en cuando también. Es muy raro lo que me esta pasando. intentare seguir probando, si no tendré que comprar una SDD y ojala sea ese el problema. Lo único que quiero es comprarme mas aviones y meterme a un escuadrón haha.

No sabría que responderte, eso si tengo fijado los fps a 30 y estoy en configuración media en el juego en este momento ya que lo estoy probando. Pero con la configuración que utilizo no es tan estable como aparece en esa foto. Aun así me metí al panel de nvidia y esta desactivado el Vsync.

Le quite el MSAA, el vsync, puse la configuración media predeterminada y solo cambie el radio de precarga. (Y tambien elimine las carpetas FXO y metashader). Aun asi los tirones siguieron. Eso si el frametime mejoro. Que podra ser? Sera mi hdd? Porque muchos me dice que afecta y otros me dicen que no. Entonces no se si cambiarlo o nose jajaja.

Ok, probare desabilitar el MSAA. Con el tema del radio de precarga, seguiré probandolo y te cuento. Al parecer al cambiarlo al máximo solo me genero problemas esa vez. Luego probé de nuevo y no fue tan así, te cuento como me va. Muchísimas gracias!!!!

Ok, lo haré. Gracias! Una pregunta eso si. MSI afterburner solo lo descargue para poder ver el frametime, fps, etc. Pero no he tocado ningún parámetro, ni overclocking, etc. Aun así puede producir problemas?

Esto es increíble, puse todo al minimo menos la radio de precaria que lo deje en (8000) y solo mejoro el frametime, los tirones tal vez disminuyeron un poco. En cambio luego puse TODO AL MÁXIMO (con el radio de pre carga a 8000) y solo empeoro el frametime, ni siquiera note mucha diferencia entre los tirones entre una y otra (claramente visualmente una iba mas fluido que la otra por el frametime, pero solo eso. Rarisimo.

Lo puse al máximo y empeoro el frametime y los tirones :lol: Por lo que luego pensé en reducirlo a 0 y mejoro muchísimo el frametime y los tirones, eso si lo probé muy poco a si que voy a seguir jugando en este momento para encontrar (si es que puedo) la mejor precarga, pero la verdad es que no lo entiendo mucho. Eso si gracias amigos por la ayuda, llevo mucho tiempo con esto del DCS y no me he querido comprar los joysticks y mas aviones debido a este problema. Ojala se arregle, o por lo menos encontrar el problema para solucionarlo tanto en configuración como pc. por ejemplo; mi HDD (si es que es el problema) :doh:EDIT: ME acabo de meter a DCS de nuevo, y fatal con el radio de precarga al minimo, antes debe haber funcionado bien ya que la zona ya estaba cargada, ya que lo cambie de 100% a 1% sin cerrar la applicación. Por lo que tendre que encontrar el mejor punto
