  1. For the record, wooden tail is a long time overruled myth due to a misunderstanding. Fuel tank is beneath the pilot, you seat on top of it, as always was in all 109 variants, it's not K4 special feature. So, your "facts" for this claim seem a bit off at the very least. On the other hand, I've tested landings with low fuel, the usual at the end of a mission, and CoG isn't that off at all, it's just if you go landing with a still too much filled fuel tank CoG hadn't time to change yet. Warbirds on the contrary usually fly with minimum fuel, those aren't representative of anything at all unless under the very same conditions.
  2. That's nice!! And for once nice to see systems already being worked on, it gives hope it's closer than appears at first.
  3. That's quite true, but certainly ED pic those latest versions because that's what people ask for and if they pic any "older" version than that there's always going to chime in people furiously demanding asking politely why this or that feature wasn't included because once somebody used it on its plane and obviously it's absolutely necessary since it's the reason they miserably die in ever sortie why historical aces they match with won every battle in that aircraft… Not only with this MiG-19S thing, but with many other aircraft and scenarios in DCS I would like to have historical features and limits for a certain date, be it 60's, 70's, 80's or whatever, but apparently most people isn't happy with that and always want the latest and more than the latest if they were allowed to in order to have the slightest advantage.
  4. We all definitely care about the looks no matter how superficial do we look like for that . Nonetheless the IA rework is being done AFAIK.
  5. I don't know if they changed their minds, but it was coming together with PF as a whole pack back when it started. Same for AV-8B and B+ coming together as a whole pack. Something alike the Tomcat with several versions on one module. AFAIK I got the MiG-19 pretty cheap using the some of the last ED bonus, I wouldn't mind paying for an S model with all the bells and whistles please if I have to pay again for it of course, but their word was it was a pack coming with two versions. 6. So 2022 got pushed back two weeks in December?
  7. That's correct if you come in 4º glide slope as per PRMG. Any other situation, and I know what happens with the average virtual aviator , you shouldn't lower full flaps that far away (meaning 10 or 10+ Km away) as the OP said. 4-5 is nice, and pretty close to the runway as I said, it's perfect indeed, but only if you came all the way also in almost perfect approach, but in the virtual World that's not always the case , hence I can't recommend anything else than what I said, despite the manual, to the bulk of the pilots trying to learn the beast. Real numbers are only for super geeky virtual pilots matching every of those numbers, the rest needs a compromise . S!
  10. I think you mean Km/H, not KIAS. I would never, ever, lower full flaps so far away as 10Km away. It's obvious the aircraft doesn't hold itself with that kind of drag while on final. I don't know why anybody would do that. All training missions and manual say you don't lower full flaps until final, that means really close to the runway. Depending on the situation sometimes I wouldn't lower full flaps until really short final. Also, if you aren't coming with the right AoA and glide path you're probably incoming too low and in the reverse command region, which is just fatal in this aircraft. If you don't know what that is look for it and read about it, it's the region (in a power available/drag chart) in which you need more power to fly slower… that may pop up something in your head. S!
  11. No one. A desktop PC is more than advisable. Just look at the proposed settings and, what do you see? More precisely, what you do not see? That is what you would need to use DCS or any other highly demanding game and you won't get it in any laptop no matter the names they put on it. Sorry for the unintentionally cryptic talking, you need a graphics card, the highest one you can get, not an easy task these days, and even the highest laptops saying they boast a 3080 graphics card just lie, those aren't even close to desktop counterparts, you pay for them as they were real equivalents though. Any high end laptop would do it if, but only if, you really need a laptop no matter what because you move it around, you work with it off home, whatever. If that's not the case, don't buy any allegedly gaming laptop just to sit on top of your desk. For lesser games that might work at least, but DCS really asks for real graphic power right now and for the time being. If the latter is to be, you really need it to be mobile, both would work, just neither mentions a graphics card and that's not good. S!
  12. Interesting since it says what Frederf explained before. Very nice info in this thread mates, thanks. S!
  13. So you meant smoke trails, right? That "propeller flow" name sounds like some aerodynamic prop wash effect you were talking about or something alike. S!
  16. Parking spots might be a different thing, I don't say they can't be bugged with regards to aircraft sizes and all, but you here were asking and complaining about the base itself and its current configuration, remember. It's not gonna happen anytime soon they can get updated data about the current operational status of that specific base. We're lucky they modelled it in the first place without cops outside their door. S!
  17. Yep, you should have stopped writing precisely there. It's hard for everyone since, as commented in this very same topic you didn't read beforehand, the base is in constant change since it's a Russian federation permanent base now. No factual data whatsoever more than a few hints here and there. No, it's not only one runway, the 17R is being made longer and wider for larger aircraft, but last (and outdated) info from international airport right there, which apparently nobody knows if is still running, says actual operational runway is 17R. It's hard for everybody to find info about that dark spot in Syria, so more than understandable Ugra can't have it either. It would be pointless to "update" the base to a current status nobody knows, and the works on runway 17R aren't probably finished yet. The base is fine as it is now, last known info about it and that's all. S!
  18. There's a thread in Chit chat section, plenty of talking since it was first announced. S!
  19. AFAIK all of them running on R2800 engines, though I believe there's a project somewhere to rebuilt a Centaurus engine for one of them. I would love to see them in DCS, Typhoon, Tempest, Sea Fury, and everything, but I'm not sure if that's even feasible for some of them.
Gracias . S!
  21. Luckily for us we won't get any of that Typhoon stuff until 2035, if ever . S!
