Kermie Cam | Curtiss TP-40N
Some of us may find this interesting.

Part 2:

Wish I was Kermit Weeks.

All he does is spaff his inherited money on restoring and flying warbirds. What a life!

I especially enjoyed the P-51D one. It reminds you how faithful ED's P-51D really is.

Within the first minute he says he went out and bought 36 aircraft- that is RIDICULOUS! :surprise:

His grandfather was heavily involved at a very high level with exploiting oil and gas in Australia.

That sort of family wealth is great if you can get it!

He does great work. Check out his Albatross D-II stuff in New Zealand, Amazing project to build and rebuilt WWI fighters including completely new-built recreations of original engines from the time! Complete with all the proper external valve gear and drinking more oil than fuel

I would love to be involved with a project like that

It is actually a bit ridiculous...

Well, he bought them in 1980's, when warbirds were dirt cheap... relatively, that is :D.

Doesn't matter, let's just admire the way he blows his money nowadays :). If only there were more milllionaires like him and Paul Allen involved in warbirds preservation.

Its always great to see someone share his passion with the general public in a very detailed way

Loved the Spitfire and Fieseler Storch videos, I haven't seen those kind of videos anywhere else. Great guy, great aircraft, great videos. :)
