  1. Any chance to add the ability to select Mirage F1CE?. Cannot chose it on the app or by editing sorties on the webpage.
  2. I was questioning my purchase until I finally got to try it tonight. My experience is with the RIFT (not S) and recently with just using trackIR and a 27”1440pV monitor. I was worried my system wasn’t enough for the g2. Surprisingly, I found it very playable at first attempts, multiplayer only, so no complicated mission for my cpu to compete with. I was thinking I would neee both a CPU and GPU upgrade, and while that might still be in the cards the existing system works well enough for now, even downtown in PG. I followed recommendations on the PD=1.0 herein and and making sure no supersampling on steam VR... also followed Thuds recommendations on the nvidia application specific settings. I was 100 percent expecting to need an upgrade to my 1080ti but was surprised by how it was so much smoother than expected. No way near 90fps, mind you, but I’m satisfied for now... I found the entirety of the Viper cockpit gauges are clearly visible. I experience no ghosting or stuttering. It’s easier to read my MFDs than it was on my 1440p flat screen. It’s also easier to visually spot ground targets from the air. Compared to my RIFT this is a a significant upgrade. With the RIFT I need to map a zoom key to read the cockpit or lean in, now I just look. What’s really amazing is that and frame rates have not actually suffered because of the PD / supersampling that is no longer needed. In short, while I’m sure I’ll want to upgrade at a point of my choosing, I can live with my 1080t for now and upgrade when the market conditions are more favorable. And one more thing. After not flying in VR since June I used the G2 for about two hours tonight and found it to be a better visual experience than my monitor and at the same time my eyes felt very relaxed after using it and it was so much more comfortable than what I was used to.
  3. I have them all and think Syria is the best map in DCS.
  4. There is an option is your settings for the F16 to pick left, right, or both eyes.
  5. Didn’t notice anything about these on the ED F16 feature survey.
  6. Or, if you’re flying a NATO aircraft, wouldn’t you just use the NATO reporting name? E.g., Su-27 = Flanker
  7. You are essentially arguing the game is worth more now than when it was on sale. I suppose this leaves you with an expected value problem. Is the marginal utility gained by playing until the next sale worth more than the cost savings of waiting? I think your decision may already be made, but these are tough choices given the uncertainty and information asymmetry involved. How long until the next sale? What will the cost be then? Is there a real risk it will never go on sale again? Will my life even last until the next sale? Will my computer die and force my to buy a new 2080TI before the next sale or will DCS have another patch that requires a 3090TI to just achieve 30 FPS be issued and then a new sale will start? or :pilotfly:???? Unfortunately, I don’t think any amount of pedantic demands will help change any of the variables informing your purchases, but for better or worse you can always count on time.
  8. Yeah, the modules are bargains compared to the hardware.
  9. Doh, I guess when you click on one of the commands described as AI Communication, then you get the entire list and you can replace it with what the FINISH button puts in the clipboard. That was easy enough I guess. Thanks for the help guys!
  10. All of these have been set as you suggested. To be more specific, if a key the mic and say "switch", then voice attack reacts with "Unrecognized : 'switch'" I checked the keywords and 'Switch" is in fact listed as one of my 941 keywords. This makes no sense to me, as the voice recognition is correctly interpreting the spelling from my voice but VAICOM must be ignoring it!? So, I followed the instructions and suggested by soupyc and clicked finish. A pop up window came up explaining that the updated keywords were placed in the windows clipboard so I had to open the DCS profile, double click AI communications in (category keywords collection) and clear all existing keywords in the 'When I say field" and then paste the new keyword set. Unfortunately there are no 'AI Communications' command whatsoever under keywords so what the hell am I supposed to do?
  11. No, I haven’t, but I only bought VAICOM a month ago and it seems to already recognize most commands, wouldn’t switch be among them? So it’s possible I missed a step. I tried to follow the manual as closely as possible, but I don’t remember that step.
  12. I agree there is plenty of help, but it could be way better organized. I mean, most of it depends on the community. We’re collectively a bunch of unpaid ED customer support personnel. :helpsmilie::pilotfly: Also, we have so many “help” threads here in the forums with 100s of pages on nonsense to weed through for a single nugget or two of knowledge. This could be much better.
  13. I have VAICOM pro and it mostly works, but it has never recognizes the “switch” command. Voice attack interprets the word correctly, VAICOM just doesn’t seem to have it in its list for me. The double tap is a great idea.
  14. Sorry man, but this seems like a narcissistic view. There are plenty of people who flew some of these aircraft in real life who would have trouble setting up their email or an iPad much less DCS for that matter. Where is the simulated realism when the pilot has to do the airplane manufacturers job and someone who flew these airplanes in RL struggles with their set up? Why is it so bad if ED spends a little effort helping people other than YOU, who have it all figured out?
