  1. I would like to hear ED comment on the progress or dropping development completely on MAC. FFDCS becomes too involved and requires constant tweaking to run. It becomes to tiresome to fly FF type study sims. I do enjoy it for brief times but find myself changing to other type sims. I do find when the desire to run DCS comes, I mostly fly FC3. I use VR which is better in FC3. But still wonder if ED is going to finish MAC?
  2. With some added textures and such with FC3, I wonder if ED's proposed MAC program is not only on the back burner but has fallen off the stove. Perhaps a community type can offer some insight other than "They are working on it, or when there is news it will be in the news letter." Is MAC ever going to be developed?
  3. In PC Pilot Feb issue, page 7, the caption reads ; "Heatblur has announced the DCS: F-4E is now available in early access.
  4. The patch you updated too is the newest stable or the new joined beta and stable??
  5. I am currently on 2.8. I want to stay on a "stable" release. Has ED moved to the "Unified Version"? My confusion is the only listing is now 2.9. If I go to the download and select load , what version is going to load; 2.9 Unified or openbeta 2.9 as I have not seen a 2.9 stable available. Might have missed it.... Laz
  6. Thanks for all the encouraging words. I do try and stay active. I drive a Challenger Scat Pac. Live by myself, wife passed on 2019 after 30years marriage. Gets real lonely, flying fills up that emptiness. Laz
  7. Thank you. You summed it up perfectly. It was everything I needed. I will let you know how its progressing. If you wouldn't mind, I have several inquires not relating to VR specifically, which I will do in personal email. Laz
  8. Current specs. Quest3, have link cable, game charge head strap, facial interface, New still in boxes. Want to finally set up the quest3. Computer is I9-9900K, Win11, Nvidia2080 TI w/11gb vid mem; 32gb ram, ssd's. As stated complete nube to VR. Only software on pc is OS, and DCS 2.87 w/ all maps, most aircraft, helis, and no mods. Just DL the latest upgrades for DCS, stayed on 2.8 stable. I have not proceeded as there is numerous ideas for setup. I will only play single user. What sort of controllers needed? What software is needed for Quest3? Thanks for your time. Laz (Just turned 80 so I am almost outta time.)

    WinWing Dead

    So. It appears WinWing is out of business. This is what I get when trying to get to their site. I see their downfall over the last 6 months. 502 Bad Gateway
  10. Just as I thought, just posted a reply to Yoksa, I just tried to order and the transaction stopped just as I was paying with PayPal. Winwing is not accepting orders from the United States.
  11. Draconus, I said "I will make it a point to remember none of my sim controls are key-less." I was making a joke. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Laz
  12. Draconus, As I said, "I guess this has to do with a new policy that I have missed?" In my module purchasing list, the older orders are still listed with serial numbers. But thanks for mentioning modules are now key-less. I will assume that means no more serial numbers. Laz ( At 80 years old I some times miss policy changes that I might have previously read. I find it somewhat difficult to memorize the numerous key assignments for the aircraft simulator controls. I will make it a point to remember none of my sim controls are key-less.}
  13. Just noticed after purchasing F4-E, about half of the serial numbers on my purchased modules are no longer visible. I guess this has to do with a new policy that I have missed?
  14. CageyLobster, Not picking sides but you said it...you voted with your wallet to not purchase any more from this source. I have experienced several very expensive changes after purchase, that totally negated said purchase value too me. Software is leased not owned. It appears to me the majority wanted those changes and me as a minority can pound sand. If they had wanted to keep me as a user they would have considered presenting options. My options were twofold: One; to not use their product, Two; to use it and deal with the frustration. I have also found in my 80 years, complaints usually fall on deaf ears unless they are enormously humorous. LAZ
