  1. Manual should be corrected as its 10 nautical miles (not 20). Cheers!
  2. The Israeli community have been given permission by the IAF to use declassified pages from the Approach and Departure Notes volume of the IAF bases. These are mostly the approach and departure charts. The airbase schematic charts remain classified so they are not allowed to be shared and therefore not included in this link, with an exception given by the IAF to share airport schematic charts of Ovda and Sde-Dov which have or used to have both military and civilian traffic so these two are allowed to be shared and included in the link. The following have been uploaded: Ovda, Sde-Dov. I have also included the ISRAEL AIP which is a very good civilian resource for all the enroute charts, navaids, details of major landmarks, and it has very detailed civilian schematics of Haifa, Eilat (the new one) and Ben Gurion airport. This doc is very good for checking all the small details of the civilian airports, especialy Ben-Gurion airport. I have uploaded to the following link: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1l5l29BGmDb-hgvnv74WJsf_YZ7vN6ImP?usp=sharing Additionaly, the full Domestic AIP of Israel with more details and maps is available but it is mostly in Hebrew: https://www.gov.il/BlobFolder/guide/aip/he/aip_Full Pamat 1-23.pdf Cheers!

@OnReTech @mwd2 It is not a mistake. It can be written as either Palmachim or Palmahim. Just like there is different spelling for the same bases on the official docs. Example: "Chatzor" or "Hatzor" or "Hazor" In the Israeli AIP it is actually showing as "Palmahim" so the current spelling being used is correct. Here is the link to download the Israeli AIP in English: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OjfnWJ-JYE1j1a6tEFJtfIQo3LAeFgl3/view?usp=drive_link Cheers ViFF
  4. Yup thats what I do. Set a waypoint on the BE and reference the back side of the needle on the HSI as the azimuth and convert the km to nm by multiplying by 2 and reducing bit less than 10 percent (8% to be closer). so 100 nm will be 200 minus 16 = 184 km (which is close enough to the exact conversion of 1.852 km for 1 nm) Cheers!
  5. Thanks for the update! What about terrain below sea level -413 meters in the area of the Dead Sea Depression? Will you be able to accurately model this? Cheers!
  6. @OnReTech Please take note of the areas below sea level: Dead Sea Depression - The lowest point on Earth Elevation: 413 meters below sea level (approximate and fluctuating) Country: Israel, Jordan, Syria Latitude/Longitude: 31°32′N 35°29′E The Dead Sea Depression is an extensive area of land that is below sea level. It contains the Dead Sea, the Sea of Galilee, a portion of the Jordan River, large areas of cultivated land and many communities. The shoreline of the Dead Sea is the lowest dry land on Earth. It is approximately 413 meters below sea level. However, this elevation is constantly changing. The surface of the Dead Sea rises and falls as precipitation, evaporation, irrigation, salt production and other natural and human activities consume the water of the Jordan River, the Dead Sea and its tributaries.

  9. Thank you very much for this!!! I have the Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 (red) and it is still working for over 20 years like new out of the box. I very much recommend to anyone finding this stick on ebay it is a gem! I regularly look for them and if I see one in good condition and good price I immediately snatch it! Flying DCS Warbirds and Helicopters is on a whole other level with the MS SW FF2 stick. Also fantastic with all the DCS jets that are not full FBW. Cheers!
  10. Nice try. I did not write "it feels artificial" I wrote "ED has implemented the artificial feel system for the pitch and roll control systems [in their simulation of the F-5E flight control systems]. I am quoting from the DCS F-5E manual on page 104. It would do you well to read the manual. Perhaps it would also help your reading comprehension skills and avoid misquoting people.
  11. I use the MS SW FF2 and it is very good with the F-5E. ED has implemented the artificial feel system for the pitch and roll control systems. With the MS SW FF2 you can feel the left and right movement of the control stick being limited by the real life spring mechanism installed in the F-5E for the pilot to feel and avoid excessive roll rates. At the half-way throw of the stick left/right you'll experience what feels like a "bump" with higher return to center force from that point to the edge of the throw. Trim is also modelled and will move the center of the stick accordingly. Otherwise, the return to center force is constant like in most aircraft with hydraulic boosted flight controls. Check out the DCS F-5E manual chapter 6.10 its explained in some detail. from the manual: The stability augmenter system (SAS) controls the horizontal tail and rudder to automatically damp out pitch and yaw oscillations and also provides manual rudder trim. The CADC controls gear ratio in the dampers during deflection of the control surfaces depending on a signal provided by an airspeed sensor, thus facilitating aircraft piloting throughout the entire aircraft speed range. So from the perspective of the pilot, the force you feel on the stick is constant. The above concept and the trim effects are modelled well on the MS SW FF2 stick. Cheers!
  12. The Israeli community was recently cleared by the IAF to publish a redacted unclassified version of the LLRD approach plates. You can download and see for yourself if there is a TACAN at Ramat David and what is its channel. 13. Any details what F-4E block this will be? Please pray let it be Block 53 with all the goodies in weapons, avionics, less-smokey engines and the slats from the Agile Eagle Program that improved maneuverability!!! Salute!
