  1. I've been out of the DCS modding scene for ages, and was wanting to get back into it with an ambitious mod where I add in fictional countries and their armies, or maybe edit existing countries to fill in the current gaps in their roster. For example, China didn't have access to the Kuznetsov or Su-33 last I checked, although there is a Chinese Su-33 skin. While maybe not the most accurate to give China these things, it is lots of fun to give them these toys anyway. I previously edited China's roster to give them the carrier, the Su-33, and unlocked that one Chinese skin for them. I've also in the past added skins to the game without having to overwrite existing skins, which was a huge improvement over the old Flaming Cliffs 2 days when you had to overwrite skins. However, I'm reading that there's been changes to how much you can access the LUA files, and things like the 50 Factions Mod no longer work. So without getting into all the drama, is it still possible to mod the countries for DCS? Or am I out of luck?
  2. I must be from the universe where this was a problem because one of the biggest cheating issues I used to encounter online was people using impossible weapon loadouts. I plainly understand why access to this would have been removed. That said I think it should be possible for the server host to check these files and make sure they match what the server has, and if they don't, then disallow the person from joining. I could have sworn such functionality existed for some servers, though they required external plugins at the time. I just hope the ability to add and edit countries and selectable paintjobs is still intact.
  3. Added the AdA mod! I gotta run off to work but I'll be back later.
  4. I apologize if this has already been reported. I tried searching for it, but couldn't find it on the forum. As a developer myself, you'd be amazed how many bugs go unfixed even though everyone knows they exist, but no one arsed to report them. Anyway, when you lock AI planes, they instantly flick on their ECM. All player aircraft need a warm-up time before their ECM becomes active. Then when their ECM becomes active, the lock is instantly broken and the AI instantly flicks their ECM back off. This makes it impossible to lock AI-controlled targets outside of the ECM burn range in Russian jets. This obviously isn't an intended functionality, or human players could flicker their ECM on and off at will as well. I imagine it can't be a very difficult fix, and I'd like to see this small but irritating annoyance that has been with us for years to be fixed in the next patch. :smilewink: If it turns out it isn't actually so simple to fix, I'm curious as to why.
  5. The in-game tutorial specifically says both the AIM-7 and AIM-120 are both capable of home-on-jam.
  6. I bet it'd work nicely with the Su-25T's cockpit and avionics, since obviously a fully fledged module does not exist for this aircraft.
  7. http://virtualcockpits.web.fc2.com/mod/mod.html JADF mods! Are there any Su-24M mods out there? Surely it'd work with the same avionics as the Su-25T.
  8. I'm trying to not suck with the F-15C because, let's face it, the damn plane is OP with them SPAMRAAM-120C's. :music_whistling: But on a more serious note, obviously the 120's are active radar guided... What about the AIM-7? Normally that is semi-active radar guided, so what happens when you fire on a jamming target using Home-on-Jam? Does it track the target independently, or do I need to keep the jamming target locked?
  9. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=182337 might also help, except instead of detecting with RADAR, you're using VISUAL. However what I am TRYING to do is also a little different in that I am attempting to make it so radar will pick up any enemy to trigger a flag. I still haven't figured that out. :(
  10. ED y u remove dis Okay I know the Su-33 never actually carried that gargantuan thing that we saw used in Lock On 1.1, but still, I really really want it back... or any other missile would be fine too. :( There's no way for Flaming Cliffs 3 players to effectively combat ships otherwise. (Also R-77s and TWS2 would be nice as well. :D)
  11. How can I discover why a mission is crashing? In this case, there is no scripting involved. The mission just consistently crashes while a second group of aircraft is trying to take off from the Kuznetsov.
  12. Aaaaaa I am so close yet so far away! I'm stumped. Bumping in the hopes that someone knows what is going wrong. MG.miz
  13. There does not appear to be an option for it in the editor, but I was hoping it might be possible with LUA. My goal is to prevent a ship from launching any missiles, but I still want it to utilize its guns.
  14. :( I even gave it a supplier from a near by airfield.
