  1. All I see is pathetic embarking and disembarking animations (or complete lack of it) in DCS. We have Hip, Hind, Huey and Chinook on the way but soldiers still spawn and despawn instead of boarding the aircraft.
  2. Any long time Reverb G2 user who is genuinely happy with Q3 upgrade? My main concern is video compression over the cable link. Is it noticeable at all, considering a DCS player often looks out for a single pixel against a tree line? Also what's going on with battery drain? I saw reports saying battery level goes down even with the cable link.
  3. Hold on for another few years because right now… bla bla bla. LOL I’ve been playing DCS in VR since 2016.
  4. I've been waiting for this function since release!
  5. I fixed this by switching to steamVR. After this I was able to see crosses in vertical calibration. Before that I tried many times to move them up and down, but they never came into view. With steamVR they were visible instantly.
  6. Can someone please tell me how to perform 5 points calibration? Everything goes as per instruction until #7 where cursor supposed to jump to top of the screen. It does not, it just disappears completely from the screen and I cannot find it anywhere. I am unable to do upper and lower alignments and finish calibration. Also, when setting cursor targets, I could see the cursor when doing horizontal alignment but the moment I moved to vertical one both cursors disappeared. I had to switch to desktop and use Windows mouse cursor and Reference-Overlay-Pic-v2.png picture.
  7. OpenComposite Launcher was never required to run DCS in openxr. You could just replace stock openvr_api.dll with https://znix.xyz/OpenComposite/download.php?arch=x64&branch=openxr. You can do the same for all other VR games.
  8. https://znix.xyz/OpenComposite/download.php?arch=x64&branch=openxr performance seems to be the same as before, still <profanity>. CPU frametimes still hit 50ms on Enigma server. In today's patch ED reverted the changes for VR so you can start the game as before Wednesday patch.
  9. Simple but works. At least I can play DCS. Does DCS perform better with the native openxr (assuming it does not crash) when comparing to opencomposite?
  10. Start DCS with --force_steam_VR parameter and both reprojection and turbo will work without crashing the game. I use custom openvr_api.dll file so the game still uses openxr, despite this parameter. Below are screenshots I took a few minutes ago. It's the latest OB version. If I start DCS without --force_steam_VR the game crashes in the menu or when loading a mission.
  11. Try starting DCS with a parameter DCS.exe --force_steam_VR. The game still starts in openxr (I use custom openvr_api.dll) but it does not crash anymore.
  12. Most, if not all, VR users are affected. Not just Pimax owners. I have Reverb G2 and the game constantly crashes a few seconds after it loads to the menu. I tried with a fresh DCS folder in "Saved Games" (so no mods or any other custom files) and it still crashes. I also tried a few different openvr_api.dll I found in backup folders but the result is the same. edit: Try starting the game with DCS.exe --force_steam_VR. I have custom openvr_api.dll so the game still starts in openxr but it does not crash anymore! I only did 5 tests but it seems to be a working solution. After these tests I started DCS without --force_steam_VR and had a instant crash in the menu.
  13. Same here. 9 out of 10 times the game freezes either right after start or when loading a map. I managed to join a server twice today and play a bit but most of the time it crashes. Happens with both vanilla openvr_api.dll and the one from Files · openxr · Campbell Suter (ZNix) / OpenComposite · GitLab.
  14. People keep forgetting that optics and sensors in cameras don't see the same what human eye can see. Use fast enough shutter speed and rotor on these photos would not be blurred at all.
