  1. Bumping this topic as the latest OpenBeta has not resolved the issue. ModelViewer2 will not show both a regular model and a collision model at the same time. It will only display one or the other. It used to show both several versions ago. I am try to show a regular model using "LOAD" model in the drop down menu and then adding a collision model using "ADD" model in the drop down menu. I use this feature to select/pick an acceptable collision model for those models that do not have a collision model. The method given in the first post to show the problem using the Molniya.edm model and its cooresponding Molniya-collision.edm model, as an example, is still valid and demonstrates the issue. On another note, ED should add a separate forum topic to centralize discussion on or about ModelViewer2. This excellent program is a stand-alone application supporting DCS and should be treated as its own module. Just food for thought. RustyGunner
  2. I tried loading a model.edm (using the "Load" button) into ModelViewer2 and then adding a collision.edm (using the "Add" button) but could not get both models to show as was possible before. I am using the latest Open Beta 2.8.5.40170. Steps to reproduce: 1) Load the Molniya.edm model into ModelViewer2 - The ship model will display normally. 2) Add the Molniya-collision.edm model into ModelViewer2 - The previous model will be removed and replaced with the collision model. Previously both models could be displayed at the same time. Interesting to note is that the "Scene" drop down window will show both models are loaded but only the last one is visible. See screen shot. RustyGunner
  3. Thanks for the input everyone. Great set of pictures to help in my decision process. I should have mentioned that I was going to a full tower to support the addition of 3 or 4 SSDs. The motherboard has three M.2 drives which will be used for Windows 11, DCS, and the "other" sim. The extra drives will be used for Windows backups, archive of various files, and a working drive for downloads and temporary work files. I will transfer my 3080ti from my current build to this new one. Currently I have opted for the Arctic Liquid Freezer 2 360 (black) as the CPU cooler. I haven't yet decided on a computer case. My current computer case is a Cooler Master about the same size of the 7000D and is pretty full with six SSDs, a 1200W PS, a 3080ti, and the corsair CPU cooler. Your pictures showed some pretty clean builds. I would be embarrassed to show my current build, functional but an eye sore. I may go to a smaller case but will wait until I assembly everything together on the table to evaluate size and potential issues. Thanks for the help. RustyGunner
  4. I am building a new computer using the ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Hero motherboard. I have search the internet and think the Corsair 7000D should work. However, I can not find any views of the Z790 motherboard installed in a Corsair 7000D. Will this full size tower have openings (and line up) to support the rear panel connections? Also, I am looking for a CPU cooler to support this Corsair tower that will interface with the 12900k. My concern is making sure everything fits and lines up properly. Thanks for any help. 5. Currenthill, Yes it does. Should have been obvious to me. One needs to zoom way out in ME when putting these units in place. Thanks for the great Mods and excellent customer support. RustyGunner
  6. Currenthill, Thanks for the response. I understand the radar should not track the target and that drawArgument1 should remain -1. Great write up on that point. However, I don't follow the radar vs launcher "FOV" problem I see. Note the picture below. The radar that is spotting the plane is shown circled in red. The ME shows the corresponding yellow "FOV" properly pointing towards the aircraft. The launcher that fires the missile (shown in the red circle) has its "FOV" pointing (red line) in the other direction. This is what I don't understand. If you use both a launcher and radar unit with the "FOV" pointing in the same direction, no missile will fire. I am missing something here in using these assets? RustyGunner
  7. Currenthill, Just tried the SAM mod and indentified a couple of issues. First, the "drawArgument1 = -1" in both the ANMPQ65 and ANMPQ65A lua files needs to be changed to "= 0" for proper animation tracking of the radar units. The second issue is the "FOV" line shown for the launchers in the ME are 180 degrees out of sync with the radars. I have attached a miz file for your review. Note which radar and launcher fire at the aircraft in reference to what is shown in the ME. Hope this helps in seeing the problem I am having. RustyGunner sam direction test.miz
  8. Currenthill, You had an oops! The link for the MIM-104 goes to the 142 HiMARS 1.2.0.zip. Download link need to be updated. Looks like another great Mod. Thanks. RustyGunner
  9. Admiral, Glad to see my earier post helped solve a problem with these excellent ships. On the Normandie it would be helpful if the the collision model could be moved backwards to line up with the original model. Currently, an AI helo will take a dive under the ship while landing. The size of the Helo seems to be a factor (small = problem, large = sometimes). Thanks for all your work. RustyGunner
  10. Admiral, I had the same problem with both ships showing in ME but not the game. Commenting out the "MASS" section in each ship's LUA file cured the problem for me. There are other errors present in the DCS log but this one change allows both ships to work in the simulation for me. RustyGunner
  11. Hawkeye60, My eye caught CVN-78 in your first post. Is that aircraft carrier an available Mod? RustyGunner
  12. Hawkeye60, Thank you for the updated Independence.edm model with the "red" glowing light removed. I found that light to be very distracting during day operations. Very much appreciate your work. RustyGunner
  13. Hawkeye60, Your original mod release contained two models, an Independence.edm and a Independence_class.edm. I prefer to use the Independence.edm that has the forward gun in an enclosure (see attached picture - it is called USS Independence Gen Two). Your updated model is appreciated but I was looking for a Independence.edm model without the "red" glowing light. The model you updated (Independence_class.edm) did indeed remove the "red" glowing light. Thank you. Hopefully, the same fix can be applied to the Independence.edm model. Thanks for all the great work and models you provide. RustyGunner
  14. Hawkeye60, You provide DCS a great varity of excellent Mods I fully enjoy. I am currently using the USS Indedpendence but find the red light very distracting during day or night operations. Also, at night the bridge lights are very bright. Can the red light be removed and bridge lights toned down a bit? Many thanks for the great Mods. RustyGunner
  15. prccowboy, Thank you for the wonderful high quality model of the O-2A Skymaster. Detail is super and it flys great. I agree with Geschirre that the radios in the back are a nice touch. Thanks again for all your work. RustyGunner
