  1. No, DCS offers no logistics short of an ETA model on shipment of weapons from one warehouse to another that you control by a speed setting in the ME. Helos can pick up and move a handful of objects via sling, but that's not really logistics, as it isn't inventory, it's just an object with a weight set in the ME (yes, you can make the slingable objects whatever weight you want; just be sure to check it when using them, as by default... they're insanely overweight). CTLD, a script from the community, is the only thing that makes this helo serve a purpose [as of, and up to, Spring 2024]. For the record; I'm not against it; I'm a fan of the Yak ... I wish I had a reason to fly it more (I wish it would be ... finished. It's literally the "most simple" module in the entire game, and despite being 6 years old now, is still Early Access.) Meanwhile, the CEii from Magnitude/Leather/whoever you want to call them, is also in EA nightmare with bugs left and right... I want to enjoy these modules; and I was massively looking forward to the A-29, but it seems that's no longer happening. The issue is DCS and ED and their third parties' ability to finish these modules; it doesn't seem anything is giving them a reason to actually "complete" them. The no-boom is boring in the case of the CH47 is that as it stands; DCS is offering a serious "war machine," but it's incapable of doing ... what it's capable of doing. Meanwhile they're talking about it being able to A2A refuel; and not a single picture shown off shows one with a refuel probe. About it being crewed by several people; and yet not a single mention of it being multicrew. The tease two years ago was a different model entirely. The tease video shows mods; and not even their own content, to make things even more confusing for the public. I'd love for this module to be what it should be in DCS; but, ED has yet to show us any of that. And yes, trust me, I love helos as much as the next person, and absolutely will buy the Kiowa; but only for two reasons: 1. It won't be EA. 2. It can serve a function in DCS outside of free roaming. Neat cockpit in this thing; but.. last neat cockpit from ED was the A10Cii, and it took 4 years for them to make a radio for that thing..... just saying. Is it likely to be better flight wise than any other version in other flight sims? Yes... most likely. But there's also no mention of normal things to expect in DCS; no mention of multicrew, no mention of what the FMS will even be capable of; since we're all well aware DCS has zero navaids; and a broken ILS system still at that. If, for you the reader, this is to "replace" a CH47 in other flight sims (or in place of said CH47s in other sims as you waited out for this one), just because it's near and dear to your heart though... I'm all for it; I can't wait to hear it flying around... because it is a wicked machine. But as far as DCS' ecosystem goes.... be extremely careful of where you're setting your expectations.
  2. You mean something like the Mi8? Literally the most produced transport helicopter in the entire world; that's been part of the DCS ecosystem for... a decade?ish? now? That seems very "chicken"-like to me, and it's been around for ages. Or how about the Mi24? What happened to all the transport capabilities of it (that it cannot do in DCS without userbase scripts). This is poor thought process; as just as we'd expect after ED releases this many helicopters; they'd bother looking at the ground AI from sniping helos out of the sky with their rifles. Guess what they haven't worked on? So now they're trying to sell yet another helicopter, except, it has no offensive weapons, as far as we know it won't have the ability to transport anything due to the lack of it in-game in the current format. On top of that, the remaining ground AI that will still shoot at you from behind a hillside.
  3. I think both of you need to re-read the part about the feature set; and ignoring the copy-paste from Wikipedia. It's a safe assumption none of that is coming until listed as a feature. Which right now only includes a 3D model, a flight model, and a clickable + VR capable cockpit.
  4. Seeing as how my last purchase isn't even available yet. The one prior to that doesn't seem to be getting any further updates under this "EA" title. No, I cannot say I'm going to buy anything with Early Access written near it ever again, sorry ED, not sorry. Especially when a listing of features can't be written out besides "it has a 3d model", like... come on; that's seriously low bar.
  5. Having the stuck skids issue happening everywhere to me in Syria. I've never experienced this issue in the Huey, so I've been struggling to figure out what I've been doing wrong until I came across this thread. It wasn't making sense to me; trying to lift from the ground and for some reason it would keep tipping over in extreme ways; usually digging the rotors into the ground. If there's any amount of wind, with even max deflection of the cyclic it still wants to do a flip.... there's no way this is correct. Something for sure is not correct with ground handling. (my game is completely vanilla, so it's definitely not a mod related issue)
  6. This bug is very much still unresolved. windsock bug.miz
  7. Up/Downgraded to RC12 and now a handful of my group is now using this mod on the Hornet and Viper. I wish I knew or something was stated that you had to have the HSI open on the right DDI for it to work..... it seems illogical to me that would even be necessary in the first place. But, for anyone struggling to get this thing to work, make sure the HSI is open on the right DDI (weird I know, I've never had it open there on the ground personally). And then it started to work just fine. Wondering if this project though is dead and should just shift everyone over to "The Way" until ED can come up with a solution.
  8. Took a rather astonishing near 2 hours for the "fast" repair to do whatever it was doing, only utilizing like 10% of my install drive. But it appears repair fixed whatever was wrong. What's weird is the log of files to fix/delete however were just in the .downloads folder. Which is funny; as I had to do a repair literally last week after the MT release as well; where the slow mode... took like 10 minutes! Certainly a strange error. For what it's worth, this was indeed after updating, launching the ME, closing, then going to launch MT, where this issue popped up.
  9. Game won't launch anymore; Just get these errors and then it sits in the background doing nothing forever. Ran last weekend just fine, now it doesn't run at all, only updated to latest OB. Have not updated GPU drivers. Log is referencing a folder that doesn't even exist? G:/shaders isn't a location that exists. And for the record; I have zero mods, this is vanilla. dcs.log
  10. Follow up, I found the supplied batch files on that "how to repair" portion of the main website... no idea why it worked but the traditional method did not. Anyways, this specific bug seems to be affecting the Nevada map ONLY, as far as I'm seeing. Interestingly it seems like it's drawing the shadows as if the camera is at a different position? Only way I can mentally describe it. The further you get away too, the more that it draws, but... it's again like all of the stuff that's near the aircraft; it's drawing it on the correct plane, but... it's like a raycast shadow map that's way below the ground. If you look closely, of the shadows visible, farthest away, you can still see the shadows of the aircraft, and covers, at Nellis. Another interesting aspect is this only appears to be occuring on the BOTTOM HALF of my screen. On this second screenshot you can see how on the top half of screen, shadows at range look correct; but bottom half, you can see there's a perfect horizontal line (see airplane cover structures on the ramp), where this issue begins to occur. The higher the camera gets (the more perpendicular to ground), this issue will go away. And... the camera goes inverted? I don't recall this being a thing before, but once that's the case, the issue "resolves" However, I really... can't say I remember the camera being able to do this before....
  11. I can't describe what I'm seeing, so here are some images. These are from the default Cold Start missions. As much as I would like to do a repair; the -repair function, and powershell no longer seem to function?
  12. Not sure if this requires a "track", but I suppose a .miz will suffice. Vikhr missiles are not listed to start in the warehouse weapons; literally not there as 9M127, nor under the APU6 rack. If you set the warehouse say 100, (where the warehouse is NOT unlimited), it says they are still not available. novikhrs.miz
  13. Attached is a screenshot with the Boulder VORTAC in primary nav freq; however, despite being in NAV VOR mode in the C101, the ADF turns off (this is parked at Boulder City, KBVU), where the ADF should be pointed due north. Long story short; as it stands, the navigational feature of the 430 outside of GPS mode on the screen, are non-functional. (So is GPS mode for that matter) Which is not what the store page says. null
  14. Here's a pretty severe deep dive into frametimes in Into The Radius VR: https://babeltechreviews.com/dlss-vr-into-the-radius-performance-benchmarked-with-the-reverb-g2-valve-index/ Finding charts this clear and specific however seems rare, as only a handful of DLSS titles are VR supportive, and DLSS VR supportive is even smaller. Just saw a video of No Mans Sky, going back and forth between settings, and seeing framerate increasing upwards of 50% in quality mode even. But to say there are none is... ridiculous. What's the purpose of DLSS if not for lower frame times??? We aren't here to do the research for you, but it is out there if you open your eyes.
  15. Here's a link to the announcement two years ago: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/news/may-2021-rtx-dlss-game-update/ But I'm with TD here. Any discussion is pure speculation. All we have to go off of is this:
