I own both, and exclusively fly the jug form the most part. It is a complete Terd in Il2 . Feels like flying a bus around, can’t get out of its own way, no hitting power and doesn’t dive any better then the other planes . The Scientologist will chirp in with their talk of physics and momentum and 109 acceleration etc.. not buying it. In DCS it isn’t great down low, but the 50’s do damage and I can be competitive in a dogfight down low. It dives well and all seems to match how it was historically portrayed by the guys who flew in it. I only get a few turns, but it’s way better then Il2 . I keep blowing up the engine when I use it . Less then 30 seconds. I have opened up inter cooler and hasn’t made a difference. Wondering what I am doing wrong ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So P47 boosted shouldn’t go above 64” manifold ? Guess that’s why I keep frying engine quickly. Never heard of that in any of the multitude of books .. or the flight manual I have . Damage upgrade If I’m going to be shot down would be nice to have engine fail or start to fail forcing an autorotation . Currently the tail just falls off and blades disconnect . Let me try and put it down !!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Noticed this a few times . When I turn on the cockpit light, it makes my control stick shutter . Has happened quite a few times . I had a damaged left flap from flack. (Traveling over 500mph) they must have been real good shots . Rearm repair did not fix the flap. Only the right side would lower and raise Love the JUG!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Love what DCS has done with the damage model and planes. Have a wishlist item, Occasionally or if You put bullets in the right spot. Maybe the plane just explodes or has a complete catastrophic event . I have snuck up on and hit some 190’s and 109’s and held the fire button down. The damage model is great and they go down. , In reading many books however, sometimes the planes guys were shooting simply blew up when hit in the right spot. Direct fuel tank hit I would expect . Downloaded and having a great time. WHY is there no multiplayer server with something like this??? Lots of fun, especially if there were other Huey’s around. The current servers, seems like helicopters are used for air to air fodder and taking on tanks. Which gets old in Huey. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
