  1. @Solemn-laugh, I noticed this as well. What worked for me was after the first target splashed, I Sensor Select Switch FWD LONG again to see the second mav and CAGE/UNCAGE'ed it. If you cage it and uncage it again you will notice the X reposition Sometimes high, sometimes low. I'm sure there is a reason but the AV-8B is a hodgepodge of systems thrown in an airframe in hopes it work together and to ensure the pilot continues to read the NATOPS manual before every flight . Once the X was in the place I liked it (center low HUD) I would CAGE it there for the second run. Then when I run in, I activate the laser and then SSS FWD Long and uncage (with the x near the spot). This left little time to wait for the Mav to find its new friend.
  2. @ChillNG, Is this something you can put out on user files as a temp fix until an update via ED can be made? I know you have a lot of code running in the background that you want to keep under lock so I can understand if its different. The Raven One campaign did temp fixes this way. Basically waiting on mission 6 until a fix is made, or could I roll back DCS versions? Not sure where the AI/GBU-12 bug was introduced. Thank you for reporting it to ED!
  3. @kikimora I'm glad it worked out for you and I appreciate the comment! I find myself on the side of we are all here for the love of military aircraft and tactics and enjoy helping build that community!
  4. @kikimora, The AAA in mission 4 was unguided so make sure you keep your speed up (>400kts) and don't stay low for longer than needed. Stay to the South of the target area, but when you do your bomb runs, come from the South West (265 radial from the target) and egress to the South East and orbit to the right, back to the South West. In other words, if looking at a clock, fly in on the 7-8 o'clock position and egress anywhere from the 3-6 o'clock position. Don't turn North since that will put you closer to AAA as you orbit. Changing your altitude and your heading, while going fast, makes it harder for the gunners to hit you. When I did the show of force I came in from the South and flew up the road and pulled up and to the right to egress to the East. Here is a chapter out of the T45 Weapons/Strike Flight Training Instructions manual. Imagine the image below but to the right vs left. (Pilots like left due to flying props and the 'pull' of the prop in a climb is more to the left.) I setup the attack cone of 4-5 miles and basically did this, but at AV-8B speeds. Manual P-1209
  5. Bravo Zulu! I'm a former military pilot (early 2000's) and love the detail put into the campaign. The SPINS is a nice touch to the immersion and reminds me of the way we would arrive and depart. Reading the briefings for every mission is a great way to feel connected to the campaign too. I could see a book being published on this!
  6. Yes, I used gun on the first North target, and 1 bomb on the second South target. I had to use the last 3 82's on the last target. Made two runs when it was moving and missed. The last one got it, just wait until it stops. CCIP 30 degree dive. If CCIP isn't your thing, then setup a practice mission dropping 82's on armor so you don't have to re-run the mission multiple times.
  7. Sorry for the late reply. After trying lower, <9,000 MSL, I was able to get a 'cleared hot.'
  8. That makes sense. I was below the layer from what was rendered on my pc. Even when coming down the shoot I was continuing to call 'In' and same blind call. I'll try lower from the IP and report. I was trying to stay above 10,000 AGL
  9. I'm really enjoying the campaign and love the immersion into the feel of a squadron. The SOPs for departure and arrivals are great too. I have a question about the first 9-line. Thank you
  10. @AdrianL, probably right! Just as long as they don't blame network with "bad gateway."
  11. @dali, hahah yeah getting 502 errors. Their nginx (assume as a load balancer) isn't taking it. Too bad they dont use docker to scale with demand.
  12. Honestly I'm not that motivated by that list (even though my Grandfather designed the jet intakes on the T33/F80) . I'd rather see a full fidelity MIG/SU. Now as @Araks suggested, the P-38 would be awesome! (Another aircraft my Grandpa helped bring to life). Maybe even help the awesome A4 module become a thing we can use in multiplayer. Adopt the A4 as a free module like the TP-51/SU-25 to get more people into the scene.
  13. I have added the F10 menu to a basic USS Forrestal mission using @MikiBzh templates. Looks great! Thank you! Forrestal F10 placement.miz
  14. You can load this mission up. I don't have any scripts for the Forrestal so I was just using @RedKite scripts. The main point is to show how to setup F10 menu options. Would love to see some of the setups above available for the Forrestal. There is probably 10 different ways to do this so YMMV. carrier f10 placement.miz
