DarkStar79
I have the pre aligned function set under special options. I sometimes miss with the GBU-54 big time. I have the TGP in area mode often and point to the ground under the target. And it still miss big sometimes. I dont know if Im doing something wrong or if the INS is drifting or what? Is INS drift modeled? Do I need to do a full alignmen? Does it matter if i have the Align knob in INS or should it be in IFA? Do any have any suggestions on why the GBU-54 miss sometimes even if its pointed right under the target in area mode? Just trying to figure out why I miss sometimes, its getting pretty enoying.. RAZBAM_ELMO
I know this has to do with your aircraft speed. What is your true airspeed on the HUD when you are launching? Know and use all the capabilities in your airplane. If you don't, sooner or later, some guy who does use them all will kick your ass. — Dave 'Preacher' Pace, USN. DarkStar79
Hm ok. My airspeed differs alot. I dont release on a set speed. I just try and release when IM eighter between inner and outer ring or when the hud nummer is between 70-100. Is it important that I release at a certain speed? What is that speed then? ChickenSim
Does it matter if i have the Align knob in INS or should it be in IFA? This may not be the only problem here, but you should be in IFA, yes. "It is also true that we parted ways with Chicken after some disagreements."
