Wingtip formations lights (strips) pop-into view at very close range

The formations lights on the wingtip become abruptly visible at very close range, and then dissappears completely just a couple of meters out. This is exactly in the typical formation range (Do a night formation flight and you'll notice it very well. The problem does not seem to be for the tail formation lights). This gives the impression of the lights constantly being turned on/off in formation flight.

You can also see the slime light on the nose being very dim in the first screenshot, although they should have the same intensity as the others.
