Radio call overkill

Is there a way to make your wingman calm down? He spends several minutes calling out "2, contact 273 for 78" over and over and over ad nauseum. There is a radio call option in the settings, but that seems to only affect other flights. It seems he is calling out each vehicle in each group. Obviously I can just turn the radio down, but that just feels like a bad solution. So is there a way to tweak this, or is it something ED has to address (hopefully already in the works)?

You can also tell him to turn his radar off. That helps a lot. But you'll also miss out on some great situational awareness. He sees far more than you ever will on your own radar. Magic robot radar eyes.

I turn down the volume until I want to hear my flight, the full fidelity radio is a powerful tool for filtering information.

 

You might also be able to set up radio silence triggers that use the F10 menu if you're able to edit the mission.

when he's doing that tell him to go line abreast or any command probly and he will turbo thru his whole deal, roger/copy and then stfu

This is an even bigger problem in WWII missions. If you face 30 enemies, Our wingman will call them out 30 times. It’s long due to be fixed.
