mi 8 arc ud problem

Recommended Posts

I haven't tried this myself but the manual says on pg 117:

To use the R-828 radio in conjunction with the ARK-UD homing set to home on to a ground station, first establish voice contact with the station and request a tone modulated signal from the ground station operator for the desired frequency. Once the tone signal is confirmed in the headset, set the Р-828 СВЯЗЬ-КОМПАС" (R-828 VOICE-HOMING) mode switch to "КОМПАС" (HOMING). Observe the needle on the UGR-4UK directional gyro for signal bearing.

Perhaps you need to use the radio communications menu with the R-828 tuned and in "VOICE/СВЯЗЬ" mode to request enabling the homing beacon first?

I was too far away and on the ground I didn't get a signal. It works now, thanks.

Line of sight is modeled for all radio equipment in DCS, if the transmitter is behind a hill and you're not high enough....nothing.
