    High boost and low-ish RPM?yes.
You can't run low RPM with high boost on a Merlin. Increase your RPM.

Ok but there was no temperature gauge showing a critical temperature, right?

Its is not about temp. Temp will be lower at lower rpm.
It is about knock, which will blast your engine clean off in short time. Matter of couple minutes with knock engine is done.
Keep your rpm and boost with in engine limitation chart values and engine will be fine.
High temp will not kill your engine as fast as knock.
