Another blast from the past is the feature for our next head to head rumble event with the F-5-E3 facing off against the MiG-28 over a late night Hoover Dam.

Red Flag Rumble 5 will feature two teams of 30 going head to head in the Nevada Terrain, each pilot only has one life so every kill counts!

Both sides will have ground objectives to attack and defend at the Hoover Dam, the winning team will be the side with the most amount of ground and air units alive at the end of the 3 hour mission!

    Mission Overview

    Blue side - F-5-E3 - Nellis AB
    Red side - MiG-28 - Laughlin Airport

    Target Areas

Both sides will have to defend friendly ground forces at their respective side of the Hoover Dam and on it.
The Target Area intel and maps will be released before the event around the 23rd of September

    Rules

    1 Life per Pilot.

All Clients must be on the 104th Teamspeak server.

Ground Targets CANNOT be engaged for the first 10 minutes of the mission.

Client pings must be below 330. We reserve the right to remove you for high ping / packet loss

You must have fun! Anyone found to be not having fun will be removed from the event

    GCI

Due to the nature of the terrain that the event is taking part over (flat land) we have decided to include GCI using Combined Arms and God Mode from EWR (the only mode we can get to work at present).

    Simple Radio

We plan to use simple radio this time. I could use some help setting it up, so if anyone is proficient with it, help would be much appreciated! Please either contact me (IronMike) here via PM, or on 104th homepage or on Teamspeak! Thank you!

To Sign Up for the event you must have an account on ED forums, sign ups will be handled on a first come first served basis!
There will also be a Reserve List to replace pilots who do not show up.

You cannot sign up on your friends behalf, clients can only sign up themselves.

There is a limit of 5 pilots from any 1 Squadron per side, however you can add more pilots to the reserve list and if any clients do not show up we will allow extra squadron members to fly.
You can have 5 pilots on the Blue side and 5 pilots on the Red side from any 1 Squadron, eg.. 5 104th on Blue and 5 104th on Red.

Remember... you cannot sign up other members on their behalf, you can only sign up yourself not your friends or Squadron members.

      Overall Mission:

For some reason, just before our units clashed together, an EMP fired and temporarily brought 8 massive convoys to a halt.

This is the Situation: Water in the US has become scarse, ppl are dying of thirst, the country is at the brink of collapse, most military assets have been destroyed in the wake of a new Civil War, fighting over water. The little water that is left had been contaminated by the endless fracking industry's greed and polluted by nuclear waste. One of the few remaining clean water sources is swelling above the Hoover damn, and is in firm control of the Northern American Union. Water is like gold, and the North has all of it. The Southern Jacks is the civil war faction that has almost no water left and is thus in favour of blowing up the Hoover Dam. Both sides dispatched some scrapped up units of russian origin that had been captured by the US before the war, but a rogue rebel group, the water boys, fired a stolen EMP and brought the battle to a halt. Both sides have mutually destroyed their aircraft and are now refitting their training aircraft - F-5s.

It is your job to stop the other side from winning, or you WILL DIE OF THIRST!

NOTE: Both sides start in the air, blue Airbase is now Creech, red Airbase is Laughlin. Strikers must land first and rearm, before they can attack. Fighters may proceed as they wish

GCI: has a limited field of view, it is marked in the map below

      GOOD LUCK!

Truly superior pilots are those that use their superior judgment to avoid those situations where they might have to use their superior skills.

If you ever find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!

Just to make sure. This is an actual GCI slot and not for ATC correct? If so, Ill take it.
