Helios, DCS-BIOS and other exports

My controller setup is highly dependant on export data. Mostly through dcs-bios and the remainder through helios.

 

Is it possible to get an official opinion on how different a-10c 2s exports will be? Obviously arc-210 will be all new, and the jhmcs power switch. Is it fair to expect everything else to be identical? Similar? All new??

 

Anyone speculating based on blackshark or other modules advancement is welcome too.

No one seems to be willing to speculate, so I'll jump in.

Not an official opinion, but I think most of the implementation should remain the same, you can drop/ignore ILS panel, pick up the ARC-210 and JHMCS panel, and should be pretty close to GTG.

It's my understanding of how the system works that anything the same between the two modules should be the same when exporting, too. I plan to start with a copy/paste, then edit. My setup is pretty straight forward though, TM Warthog and Helios to a touch screen monitor, YMMV especially if running a home cockpit or something, but I suspect the bulk of the exports will remain the same either way.

I plan to replace the TISL panel with the HMCS control head and sneak the ARC210 somewhere by the other radios by doing some resizing in Helios.

I'm confident the parts that are the same will remain equal with exports and what not

Yah. I may “cheat” with the single hmcs switch and just re label something unused. I’m pretty torn about the arc-210. I hesitate to remove my vhf-am until I’m confident I’m only going to use the v2. Old campaigns will not work so either a find a way to make enough room to keep them both, or hack up my arc-210 so it can function as the vhf-am in v1 missions. I’m actually kinda glad they deferred the arc-210 so I can figure it out.

 

My temporary plan is to implement the arc-210 in software on the tablet that is my cdu until dust has settled and I can commit to the hardware changes.

Is there a quick way to import your current A10 profile?

At worst, it should be possible by copying the input config files with few if any changes required other than the right folder name. Having said thay I will be pretty disappointed in ED if they dont auto migrate for you. Did blackshark 2 auto migrate??
