Edit! I fixed this just in case anyone else has a similar problem. Check in the Init Folder. When I checked the Path file I missed that it had "set "pathSavedGames=Saved Games\DCS.beta"
corrected it to "set "pathSavedGames=Saved Games\DCS" All works fine again now.

        Hi Sublime,
Go to the campaign folder that is inside the DCS or DCS.beta saved games folder. Depends what version your using. Inside the folder is another folder named "Init" Inside that folder is the Path file. Right click that and click "Edit" check the file pathways match your install. The other file is "Confmod" there is sometimes a filepath in that too.

nope.. They are definitely limited... And when you don't have enough for a flight of 4, you will lose the campaign.

            Thanks Eagle!

On another note, all of a sudden, when I quit a DCE mission, all I get is a DCS splash screen. I don't get the normal post action screen where I can accept the mission results and continue with the campaign. DCE scripts outside of DCS work as when i alt-tab it's asking me if i want to accept the results of the mission, but DCS itself is 'locked' on the DCS screen so i am unable to ever advance the campaign in DCS itself.

When I checked the log file i see this is at the end. not sure if that could be the cause of the issue?

            Thanks for any help!

edit: i saw the issue mentioned in the install pdf. i'll try that solution and see if it helps!

              1.
Yesterday I tried the Hornet over Persian Gulf SuperCarrier (20.38.01) in Multiplayer with one other pilot.

So I klicked the FirstMission.bat, "m" for multiplayer, said I want 4 clients in the Hornets (didn't want to have AI wingmen in the flight) and selected 0 players in other aircrafts.

Mission was created and looked good. After the mission was launched and unpaused, it was only me (Host) sitting on the deck of the carrier and our escort flights of 6 F-14's were already circling around the carrier. My mate wasn't able to get in the cockpit. Tried "select role" several times:

"You're flight is delayed, please wait!"
(Also tried it with a longer time for takeoff preparation and with 2 clients, same result! Didn't try it with cold start option yet.)

At the end I had to edit a Single Player mission and made my wingman client and unchecked the "delayed start" options for our flight. That way it worked well.

              2.
Another strange thing: I saw two Tomcats catch a wire on the LHA Tarawa!
Didn't happen before. Perhaps a new bug after the last update?

              3.
Is it possible to prevent the carrier group from turning at all?
This "turn in the wind option" is already set to false, but it keeps turning quiet often, messes up the ship formation completely and is really "challenging" if it starts turning after you just called the ball!

As always: Keep up this outstanding work, fly safe and stay healthy!

im prolly gonna need miguel or p80s help theyre the ONLY PEOPLE who ever got this working for me. it took them 5 min. I have no idea how to fix myself. I wanted to do the ww2 campaaign and the maker tried helping but stoped responding after 1 post
the first time p80 i gave remote access. had it working in 2 min. miguel helped a lot too. but idk if they got tired of me or just havent seen my posts.
but I usually flew tomcat over PG (iran) and REALLY wanted to be able to finally fly the A in that. Then the F14 PG and Cauc. camps. I also had the flanker caucauses with JF17s substituted in. I didnt do it, miguel did for me. It worked awesome
and look Id be happy with just ONE working now, because NONE do.

So I finally got around to trying this, I've edited oob_air_init.lua and changed instances of A10C to A10C_2 and also removed the A10 entry fronm the db_loadouts.lua file and added in the file as you supplied above, but when I run firstmission.bat it churns away and then comes back with "Mission Generation Error. No eligible player flight in 20 attempts". I'm guessing I've missed something obvious. I've attached both the modified files if that is of any use. If it's of any relevance I was attempting to modify the Desert Warthog 06 DCE campaign.

                              Hey folks,

This is an easy fix to make this work correctly. Navigate to, then open path.bat (the one where you set your installation paths) using Notepad++ or advanced text editor.

Now, Line 8 looks like this:

                              set "versionPackageICM=ScriptsMod.20.38.01"

                              You need to delete: ScriptsMod.

So, Line 8 should now look exactly like:

                              set "versionPackageICM=20.38.01"

The author mistakenly left those characters in, so the batch file was effectively looking for:

                              ScriptMods.ScriptMods.20.38.01

which does not exist, hence the error.

So, remember to correctly set your installation paths in this file while you are there, then run the FirstMission.bat to reinitialise the campaign.

Let me know if it works for you.

                              Cheers!

                                        Scotch,

I've looked at both lines and have previously removed "scriptmod" from the paths file. That's not the issue.

The error isn't within the paths file - the error is within either of the following two files,
UTIL_Functions.lua - Doesnt have a specific line specified

                                        but

                                        BAT_FirstMission.lua:43 is the following line:
                                        dofile("../../../ScriptsMod."..versionPackageICM.."/UTIL_Functions.lua")

I've tried replacing /ScriptsMod." with the 20.xx.xx.xx as my current package is, but that doesn't seem to fix the problem either.

Messed around and found a few things out of place within UTIL_Functions and the BAT first mission file.

Successfully generated and ran through first missions, however, I get the following error when ending a mission:

Hhhhmm ok. Mine is working fine in both generating and ending missions. I think (educated guess...) you may get that error you posted when nothing actually happens in the mission, so it gets stuck in an endless loop (ie trying to "divide by zero").

I'll check those two files when my computer is up and running again (I've just moved house today).

                                          Cheers!
