MilesD
Hey all, Just got back from a trip upgrading some USAF simpits. We went through a few iterations of spring combo's and the feedback from the pilots is that it's "feels like the jet now". The stick mod uses 4 counteracting springs that place no additional spring forces on the warthogs plastic ball. Pitch force at the stick is increased to about 12lbs, roll to about 6lbs and throw is 9" in pitch and roll per A10-C. Stick height is 24" from the base with a 21" stick pivot point. No center detent with consistent centering. I am focusing PointCTRL now, but I will make these available soon for anyone interested. Thanks, Miles http://t Now shipping up to website Pre-Order Form date 2022/06/01 Pre-Order Form Submission https://pointctrl.com/preorder-form/ PointCTRL Support Discord https://discord.gg/jH5FktJ PintCTRL Website https://pointctrl.com/

MilesD
I didn't get a chance to finish up installing the the 17 kits for the USAF VRLabs on this trip, and I have to focus on PointCTRL for now. But I will try and make them available in a month or so. They are heavy, about 15lbs and have to be rigidly mounted. I was thinking around 175.00 to 200.00 USD for everything. Considering the price of an extension and spring it seems reasonable, but let me know, as you know I am always open for all feedback and suggestions. Ala12Rv-Tundra
Pitch force at the stick is increased to about 12lbs, roll to about 6lbs Is that standard for every aircraft? Not the numbers but the fact that rolling is about 2x "easier" than pitch. Because I have to screws in my Virpil base to adjust tension for each axis, and reading that made me think I should ease the roll axis; right now both axis are very stiff. i5 8400 | 32 Gb RAM | RTX 2080Ti | Virpil Mongoose T-50 base w/ Warthog & Hornet sticks | Warthog throttle | Cougar throttle USB | DIY Collective | Virpil desk mount | VKB T-Rudder Mk IV | Oculus Rift S | Buddy-Fox A-10 UFC | 3x TM MFDs | 2x bass shakers pedal plate| SIMple SIMpit chair | WinWing TakeOff panel | PointCTRL v2 | Andre JetSeat | Winwing Hornet UFC | Winwing Viper ICP FC3 - Warthog - F-5E - Harrier - NTTR - Hornet - Tomcat - Huey - Viper - C-101 - PG - Hip - SuperCarrier - Syria - Warthog II - Hind - South Atlantic - Sinai - Strike Eagle
MilesD
Hey Tundra, While every aircraft is different, The few examples I do have, require less stick force in the roll than pitch. The A10-C requires more force when pulling back on the stick then pushing forward. It also has a physical weight attached to the pitch axis that further increases stick force by pulling the stick forward as g's increase. MilesD
Is this a mod for the TMWH base? Highly interested Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk Hey Elmo, Yes, it uses the original WH base but it puts no additional forces on the plastic ball. The 4 springs counteract each other above and below the ball. Here what the first ones look it look like installed. A bit rough looking but they work well. The parts in the pic you attached make this. Thanks for asking.
