Mustang
These two textures were originally created by Mizzy a few years back, i've converted them to .dds for use in DCS World - simply extract the two files and insert them into your EffectTextures.zip file (located in DCS World\Bazar\Effects) remember to make a backup copy of your EffectTextures.zip beforehand incase you wish to revert to stock textures! I hope to get these introduced into DCS World in future (ED permitting!) Edited October 19, 2012 by Mustang

Mustang
Yeah sorry guys, well it really is one of those mods that you really have to try for yourself to see the changes, however i'll attempt with a few screenshots - the emphasis is on the toning down of the effects, by default the rain and snow effects are too strong especially when moving at speed. diveplane
nice job, but eagle really need to redo the rain and snow with some new effects, these are getting quite old now. https://www.youtube.com/user/diveplane11 DCS Audio Modding.

Mustang
I don't think it makes any difference at all to framerates, give it a go.
NRG-Vampire
I don't think it makes any difference at all to framerates, give it a go. Sorry for writing that but i prefer the old, stock effect. In the new snowflake density is too sparse. Smaller snowlakes are OK but need to be much more frequent on sceen.

Mustang
does anyone have the defailt ones. might want to go back Just make a backup copy of your original EffectTextures.zip file (it's only around 5mb) before you try the textures. edit: thanks for uploading the files PeterP. JaBoG32_Prinzartus
Has this been included into vanilla DCS meanwhile? Or is this Mod still a must have? What do you guys think, about it?
