AV8R
Unfortunately the stick is on hold for now. HPO has stopped working on it, we very much regret that. If we ever continue work on the stick we will let you know. Regards, Wasserfall Falcon BMS is about to have a Su27 and I was thinking about HPO's thread I read a while back. Sad to see the project came to a halt. Hope he is Ok. Please contact me if this project continues. I definitely want in on the production run. Best wishes AV8R :joystick:

Joe Kurr
Time to dig up the thread again :) I'm starting work on a new instrument, the countermeasures panel. Currently I have ordered all the electronics parts, and I hope to have a working prototype somewhere in February. I'm using an Arduino Uno board as controller for it, and since this panel will only use up 6 I/O ports on the Arduino, the plan is to build one or two more panels on the same controller when this one is finished. For this panel the following steps need to be done: - Design and build the electonic circuit - Write the firmware for the Arduino - Alter the export.lua to collect the necessary data and send the correct signals to the sim - [optional] Write a control application which can communicate with the arduino and DCS - Design and build the panel front Dutch Flanker Display Team | LLTM 2010 Tiger Spirit Award

Joe Kurr
Just FYI, that last picture is the one I'm working from, it's not a picture of my finished panel (though I hope to make something that looks like it ;) ) Dutch Flanker Display Team | LLTM 2010 Tiger Spirit Award
Joe Kurr
The software for the countermeasures panel is progressing well. Today I started work on the panel design itself. Here is a first impression of an evening's work :) There is a small error in the design above, the holes for the стоп and контр buttons are spaced too far apart. But still I'm quite happy with the result so far, as this is my very first project in Sketchup :) Dutch Flanker Display Team | LLTM 2010 Tiger Spirit Award
Joe Kurr
Currently working on the software for the panel. The lua script and Arduino code are pretty much done, but still need to be tested. The bridge application is also in a final stage, I hope to release this to the community as a universal tool to communicate with the Arduino from DCS. This application simply transfers the data sent from DCS (via UDP) to the Arduino (via RS232) and vice versa. 1 Dutch Flanker Display Team | LLTM 2010 Tiger Spirit Award
recoilfx
Hey Joe, when are you releasing this? I was writing my own bridge, but got side tracked couple months ago. Would love to get this to jump start my projects! Thanks. Currently working on the software for the panel. The lua script and Arduino code are pretty much done, but still need to be tested. Joe Kurr
Hey recoilfx, I'm releasing it when it works correctly. Tonight I had the first opportunity to test it, and there are still a couple of bugs I need to fix. Things that already work as expected: - It detects a connected Arduino at startup - It starts a UDP listener on the specified port (10310 in my case) - It forwards all data received over UDP to the Arduino - It receives data from the Arduino Things that don't work correctly yet: - The data from the Arduino isn't read in one piece - The data from the Arduino isn't forwarded to DCS - The application crashes when there is a lot of traffic (maybe the serial connection is too slow, could be a buffer that fills up, need to check this) Here is a screenshot of the first successful test: Dutch Flanker Display Team | LLTM 2010 Tiger Spirit Award
aap_flanker
Because i needed a bigger screen i chose a 32Inch Led tv from Samsung that does the job perfectly A close up of the Hud, which i really like to have functioning, but as far as i know it's impossible in Fc2 i made it in such a way that i can upgrade it in the future (Fc3?) On this pic you can see the LOVP working, the waypoints on the "crt" are still pictures on a photo frame, i have several images from radar scope etc. Finally, an overview were you can see some of the frame i made, painted in yellow aircraft primer. The ejectionseat (k36d) is still without headrest and is in basic form, but all in time!! Hope you like it!! Wasserfall Would you share the draws that you use for the HUD? Thanks! Joe Kurr
Finally had time to finish a first usable version of my DCS-Arduino bridge. It will have some quirks, and might throw some unhandled exceptions, but these will be solved in the next version. Functionality is simple: - Anything that is sent from DCS (export.lua) is sent as-is to the Arduino; - Anything that is sent from the Arduino is sent as-is to DCS. This means that you're completely free in designing a communications protocol which suits your needs. The screenshot below was made using a very simple protocol to control the state of five LEDs and read five buttons. X93355
Joe, your pit is one of the reasons I decided to do a pit as well. A lot of your pics of your pit are no longer available so just wondering if you can re post them. With the update to the SU-27 about to happen it would be great to see them again.
