Wow, thats strange. I wonder which change caused that. Did 1.0.0 work fine in Wine?

Yes, 1.0.0 worked/works great! This version does not though. The only thing that sticks out is a log message "unable to open predef-patch.dat file"

the predef-patch is a file that it tries to load but shouldnt fail if it cant (its so I can patch the predef key definitions later without having to write a new version).

I`ll see if I can get WINE installed today and try it. What is the very last line of the debug.txt file?

I suggest posting something in the forums here:

http://www.touch-buddy.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=2

Though TB does not support Linux as such, you may find that Zorlac is interested in finding the cause of the issue.

Just installed wine v0.9.16-2, and changed msvcrt.dll to "native" and TB fires up OK... apart from when it wants to install/use activeX, where it dies a horrible death

How do I get wine to install the activex download and keep it loaded? it tries to download it every time I want to use it....

(note: wine newbie here)

No, it doens't 'automate' anything. But all you have to do is touch the 2 engine buttons on the top/right corner and they start right up. Touch them again and they shut down.

Are you running wine as root? That's the only thing I can think of for that.

Also, TB does run, it just cannot connect to the server box. In the status box it displays "ERROR: Unable to open connection to host 192.168.0.2:12000"

edit: I created a file called predef-patch.dat file and it no longer complains about not finding that file, but it still cannot communicate with the server. I've also noticed that server mode doesn't work under wine with the newer version either. If it helps, what I see when I lauch server mode is a box that pops up named 'Click' and the box says "Can't call method "autoflush" on an undefined value at (eval 15) line 614.

In the TB status window I see "ERROR: Unable to open server socket!!"

Hope this helps.
