Aluminium Joystick/HOTAS table mounts - Monster Tech

Hey guys,

some of you might have seen our table mounts before but I wanted to make a thread here to get more feedback from the DCS community.

The table mounts are made out of anodized aluminium. The top and mounting plates are also anodized.

We have specialised mouting plates for all current systems.

We always try to improve the design more and the best way is just to listen to user feedback. If you have some ideas or critique to improve the design please let us know.

You can find some build videos on our YouTube Channel: Monster Tech Channel

Very interested in this!

It will depend on price, whether I can buy it (being a pensioner and already shelling out for VR this year) - but it certainly looks like just the job

If you follow the link the prices are displayed. eg. Warthog joystick is €83

Great product, if I had not already made a custom one myself I would definitely be interested.

got a question, is it possible to order TABLE MOUNT without a plate? if it is, how much it will cost inc. 19% VAT? will the shipping cost be the same as with the plate?

Yes, I found the prices. I was going to order straight away, when I realised the price had to be doubled for a HOTAS, and that is just too much for me.

I had made my own supports out of wood, but a recent change has meant I'm back to table-top, which means my stick extension is also useless to me now.

Way it goes. When you're not getting much money (despite the tripe the government spews out about armed forces covenants and the like), you get used to either making do without or always paying 'on the never-never'.

They are very nice mounts, but the prices are prohibitive for me.

At something around half the price I would consider it.

Perhaps a plastic version at lower price than that.

System specs:

Gigabyte Aorus Master, i7 9700K@std, GTX 1080TI OC, 32 GB 3000 MHz RAM, NVMe M.2 SSD, Oculus Quest VR (2x1600x1440)

Warthog HOTAS w/150mm extension, Slaw pedals, Gametrix Jetseat, TrackIR for monitor use

What about the x55 oris the base too big?

We do have specialised plates for the X55. They look similar to the Warthog throttle plate just in the size of the X55 joystick and throttle.

On a side note:

If you are a Star Citizen backer you can read a bit more about the mounts here: https://forums.robertsspaceindustries.com/discussion/271104/project-aluminium-hotas-joystick-table-mount/

Hi Meisterolsen,

very interessting. Are you planning "sets" for Stick and Throttle, maybe with a little reduced price?

And a question: Are the mounts adjustable in the height?

Thanks in advance,

Fire

Look very nice quality but pretty pricey

Can you order the mount plates separately?

I have a Hog Stick & FBM so I would not want to shell out twice for both sticks

They do offer plates separately.

I picked up a set back in December and haven't regretted the purchase even once. They might be slightly pricey, but considering they'll probably outlast most joystick setups, I don't think it's too bad.

I'll probably order one for my stick - I'm currently unable to use the extension, so it would be useful for that.

In a year or so I can then order one for the throttle, I suppose - when I have the spare cash :)

VR is going to cost me a lot of money this year (HMD, Touch, Cover, lenses, software - wish I had a well paid job!) and I think many here will be in the same boat. Not forgetting all the modules for DCS this year. Good job I rarely drink the devil's brew.

Yes they are. With an alan key and some force the mounting plate can slide up and down on the main colum as desired.

I got mine some weeks ago. After some flight hours and adjustments I can really say: It's worth it. Great steering experience with the Thrustmaster Warthog and a lot more sensibility because of the "real" flight position of the stick and throttle.

Great job guys and really good quality. You can adjust the height of throttle and stick and the pressure and detachment on the table. I have a lightly curved table and it works fine.

Thank you very much to Monster Tech!

I have a 20cm extension on my Stick so in the 'standard' stick mount its way to high, are you making extended ones for people with stick extensions?

it looks like a great solution for my problem.

The mounts have a vertical adjustable range of about 22cm. If you need a longer one write it in the order notice, maybe it will cost a few Euros more but I will get back to you on that then.

At the moment we are not planning sets. Because we have so many versions of the mounting plates it's quite a challenge to keep everything organized now. If we would offer sets it would double the versions. Also in the next few weeks black versions will go online which will make everything even more complicated backend wise.

The mounting plates are available seperatly and are easily changend. You just have to loose two screws and you can switch them out. The idea is you only have to buy the mounts one and can use them with every new joystick/throttle system. We are already working on new plates for the upcoming Thrustmaster and VKB systems.

That's a great idea, brilliantly realized!

Thanks, we are doing our best. :)

As I just recieved my mount last week, I decided to do a little video about installation.

Jump to 04:42 if you want to skip the beginning and get right to the assembly!
