"DCS: F-15C Eagle" (i.e. with ASM!) this year!? :o)

Found these couple of postings of Chizh talking about interesting stuff: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2056953&highlight=JHMCS

Google translate:

Chizh:

Quote: I understand that the same applies to the AIM-9X. In general, yes. By rocket little reliable data. But, nevertheless, this year we plan to insert it in the simulator.
Someone else:
Great news. And in any block will come to us this miracle, and can count on JHMCS for the F-15? Just as for me, without a helmet targeting this missile system is meaningless, except that on the radar shoot.
Chizh:
While the rocket will not nashlemki.

JHMCS appear under full development module DCS F-15C systems and clickable cockpit.

Do I interprete this right?

- AIM-9X will be added this year, together with the JHMCS

- the JHMCS will be part of the ASM of the F-15C

... that means

Full hi-fi PFM+ASM F-15C this year.

AM I RIGHT!? :o)

But how did you equate that to "this year"?

Hrm, now as you point me directly at it ... I just assumed, that

  1. AIM-9X = 2014
  2. AIM-9X = JHMCS
  3. JHMCS = ASM

therefore ASM = 2014

But you are right, the JHMCS could probably come later and the assumption #2 might be too far fetched.

But still - alone the confirmation of the ASM alone is great news.

Umm, it was said that the AIM-9X would be integrated into the sim this year.

Nothing else was given a release date.

Other info:

JHMCS would likely (if being done) be integrated into the Engine/F-15C Systems and debut with a Specific Version of DCSWorld / DCS:F-15 PFM/ASM.

There are some other aircraft that can use it being Developed by 3rd parties.....

Not sure about A-10C, at least I'm not sure if JHMCS is supported under the modeled avionics suite.

That being said:

DCSW x.x.x.xxxxx w/ DCS:F-15C PFM/ASM + JHMCS + Oculus Rift....

I'd rather have the JHMCS on the A-10C... look, lock and fire Mavs... But like I said, I have no clue as to what the current avionics suite allows in that regard.

You assumed it because you read half the information, so please stop reading the Russian forum and then throwing out news that is incorrect here :D

Chizh said right now the seeker will be slaved to radar, just like with AIM-9M. There's no information on when an ASM will be implemented for the F-15C, if ever.

Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D

I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
