New mission: Airmobile 1

New mission on the missions section. Uses load/unload script from Deck modified for this mission. You will deploy troops and attack an enemy town with lots of targets. Includes real radio chatter and music also (see briefing for details and radio freqs). Takes a while to load due to file size so be pattient.

Same for me, download link didn't work using Microsoft Explorer, but works when I use Google Chrome.

How were you able to add multiple pickup zones? I tried editing the LUA file that was provided in http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=106294 this thread.

But the script does not recognize my second pickup zone.

Also the download worked for me.

can it be player by single player

I noticed that it is a MP mission. Can it meaningfully be played by a single player, or are the other client aircraft needed for the mission to work?

You can try it, without any changing of the miz file. Just launch it as normal SP mission. If it would be hard to play, change one Huey to "player" and add yourself some AI wingman(s).

Been flying it by myself a bit today, and it's all round good fun.

I was wondering what the green smoke is for. I get the blue smoke for picking up troops, and the red smoke is the objective right? But there's green smoke as well and I can't work out wht it's for

Now if we could have some P51's acting like Sandy's and strafing some targets that would add to it:smilewink:

Thanks for the comments. Green smoke just marks the lz for some of the AI traffic. You can join them and practise formation flying if you want cause they are just placed to provide some ambience on the area. Tune their frequency on uhf radio as briefing says

could you possibly do a simple cold and dark mission so us old farts could practice starting the UH-1H, and setting it up for a mission (ie, radios, weapons and such)? I'm still trying to control my landing without worrying about doing the mission planner or editor just now. More along the lines of start up and shut down practice. Makes no sense in flying it, if I can't get a handle on start up procedures without going to training mission and doing monkey see, monkey do. :)

First off I want to not only thank you for a FANTASTIC mission but for the fun me and my friends are having flying it! I had one HUGE favor would you mind posting your HueyDrop.lua that you edited from Deck so I can see just how you made that all possible? thanks again and keep up the great work!
