doveman
Anyone got this mission working in DCSW 1.2.2.7570? When I try and play it, it just hangs on a screen that says loading with no progress bar. I tried to load and save it in the ME but it does nothing when I click the Save button so I have to click cancel instead and can't save it. Yurgon
Anyone got this mission working in DCSW 1.2.2.7570? I just wanted to check, but I can't seem to find a download link that still works. The links in the ED Wiki and on the SimHQ article appear to be broken. Do you have any working links available? If not, PM me for email address so you can mail me your .miz, then I can check if I can get it to work. I've currently got 1.0.2, 1.1.1.1 and 1.2.2.7570 installed. Yurgon
PM Sent. File received, thanks. At first, I couldn't get it to work in 1.2.2 either, witnessing the exact same symptoms as described by you. But I found an installation of 1.2.0 that I had forgotten about. In 1.2.0 I could save the mission in the editor. That copy could then be saved in the 1.2.2 editor (not sure if this step was even necessary), and I can now successfully load the mission in 1.2.2. The Ka-50 skin seems to be missing or renamed because the chopper shows with the bright orange "texture missing" texture, but that should be easily fixable in the ME. PM with download link sent. Does it now work for you, doveman? If so, I'll test-fly the whole mission (haven't done that yet), adjust the applied skin and then, if all checks out, hop over to SimHQ and ask parabellum if it's okay if I make the download link public. Edit: Word of advice. Don't fly in 1.2.2 and 1.2.0 in turns. All my campaign progress in 1.2.2 is lost, and I can't think of any other reason for that to happen than having loaded the "Blow Stuff Up" mission in 1.2.0 an hour ago. Well, I wanted to restart my Basic Flight Training Qualification campaign anyways because a few hiccups had screwed with my scores. :) At least the Logbook appears to be okay. The MoH did take some flying hours after all. :) Edited January 26, 2013 by Yurgon Advice addded

Thanks Yurgon, I've tested it and it seems fine now. I haven't played it fully but it loads OK so it should be fine. Lucky you still had 1.2.0 installed :) Main rig: i5-4670k @4.4Ghz, Asus Z97-A, Scythe Kotetsu HSF, 32GB Kingston Savage 2400Mhz DDR3, 1070ti, Win 10 x64, Samsung Evo 256GB SSD (OS & Data), OCZ 480GB SSD (Games), WD 2TB and WD 3TB HDDs, 1920x1200 Dell U2412M, 1920x1080 Dell P2314T touchscreen

Lucky you still had 1.2.0 installed :) I just flew the whole mission and it worked just fine (except for my rather rusty Ka-50 skills :)). I also changed the Ka-50 skin to the default camo. I asked Para_Bellum for permission to make this version public. With an affirmative reply from him, I'll post a download link. Edit: Oh, the 1.2.0 installation, right. All my DCS installations reside on a 2TB disc, so there's no need to throw the old stuff over board. And somehow I'd had a feeling that might come in handy one day. :) Edited January 27, 2013 by Yurgon Forgot something
