2.0 Map available on Steam?

Are there plans to sell the 2.0/Map on Steam once it's out of beta? I prefer not to use Steam, but have a large credit there and want to use it to get a few of the DCS modules I don't have already.

I assume you mean the Nevada/NTTR map. In that case, though it hasn't been explicitly stated, I am quite sure it will be available on Steam, once it is released. Every other current ED product is available on Steam, so I can't imagine this one would be different.

Every other product is NOT available - Mirage2000 and others aren't there yet, and Gazelle JUST became available a couple days ago.

Are 2.0 and the NTTR map not one and the same? I thought in order to get 2.0 you had to purchase the NTTR beta module/map/whatever.

I specifically said 'ED product' which the Mirage is not and neither is the Gazelle. ED has no control over when and how 3rd parties release their products on Steam.

The map and 2.0 are not the same thing. You need the map to use 2.0 but the map is a separate purchase and when 2.0 is out of beta it will only include the Caucasus map.

You said ED, I said DCS. A little picky no, they are all modules under the umbrella of Eagle Dynamics Digital Combat Simulator, are they not? At least that's how my friend Carl Norman explained it to me when he started this company's move into the post Flanker 1.5 world. I think Eagle has a tad more control than what you're stating over third party creators and what they produce.

Like I thought, there IS no 2.0 without the NTTR map at the moment - that was my question and point - right now, you can't use 2.0 unless you purchase the map, is that not correct?

2.0 dont coming to Steam (Has only a alpha version to test new maps). Wait to Unified version 2.5 (1.5 + 2.0).

Our current focus is on the merger of DCS World 1.5 with DCS World 2.0. This version, termed DCS world 2.5, will return us to a unified DCS version with the new graphics engine and be capable of supporting multiple maps. In a few months we have already almost one year since the launch of Nevada and has not yet come to a BETA or the map or the DCS 2.0.

I wonder if we will see these and future updates on the steam still in 2016?

Steam only Runs Release and Open Beta Branchs.

You wont See NTTR On Steam Until You see 2.x Versions in At least Open Beta.

1 year Anniversary of alpha launch is 5 Months away, which is what user was saying is "a few months away"
