Apocalypse31
1.5.35147 The .50 caliber on the M1A2 is a free gun in real life and uses the weapon iron sight, the same as the M113 or HMMWV in game. The current ingame model uses the gun site from the M1A1 - not used on the M1A2. The current in game model should not have a special sight. In real life The M1A2 doesn't have an optic. Just uses iron sight TankSim Discord
Apocalypse31
Also, the M1A2 main gun optics can zoom up to [edit] 50x power in real life, versus what we have in game (3x and 10x) The M1A2 in game is closer in capabilities to an M1A1. =Mac=
No, the gun optix are just fine: the Russian tanks are just that small... Just kidding. The Hornet is best at killing things on the ground. Now, if we could just get a GAU-8 in the nose next to the AN/APG-65, a titanium tub around the pilot, and a couple of J-58 engines in the tail... flanker0ne
Not of the same nature but the .50 cal on top of the M-109 Paladin is missing at all. Maybe is just the 3D model. The 50cal mount for the M1A2 in game is also incorrect, and is actually the mount for the M1A1 TankSim Discord
tanker82
Also, the M1A2 main gun optics can zoom up to 25x power in real life, versus what we have in game (3x and 10x) The M1A2 in game is closer in capabilities to an M1A1. The M1A2 SEP FLIR optics are 3x,6x,13x,25x and 50x. The FLIR reticle has a green digital stadia aiming reticle that can be adjusted from green to black. The daysight optic is 3x-10x. The daysight optic has the red stadia aiming reticle that can be adjusted from bright red to no reticle in your sight. The FLEX 50 does use the iron sights but now they are equipped with the CROWS 2 system which the VIM (Visual Imaging Module) optics are (degrees) 1.7, 3.3, 5, 10, 25 and 47. The TIM (Thermal Imaging Module) is (degrees) 1.7, 3.3, 5 and 10. Edited April 9, 2016 by tanker82 updated
