It is important to note that the axis will not be cleared, along with the button assignments, unless you specifically go to the axis section and then clear it. If nothing is assigned to it then the controller will not do anything. I am not even sure that a mod could change the way it works. I suspect DCS just grabs whatever Windows sees. In my case, I needed/wanted a hardware solution. I cover my touch screen with a towel when I am not using it and that interferes with mouse use on the other screen since the touch screen is live even when the monitor is off.
