What it's shown in the video is no where close as much as the on from the picture. Have an outside look

Yeah there is a lot of smoke on the real thing, but it doesnt despers over the canopy as in the game, so it is kind annoying.

As you can see here:

At some points you cannot even see your target

If gives off quite a bit of smoke, but it's more puffy than cloud like I guess.

even in your picture the smoke is atleast two times less than the one from my pic.

And also... it's not really about the amount of smoke but the density of it

didn't find the x64 version. Could you share a link?

Here is a link for the files. The 64bit dlls are in a subfolder. You need to replace the original dlls with the 64bit ones.

Hmmm,

It has two sweetfx folders, one: SweetFX, the other sweetfx,

Since windows is not sensitive to upper/lower cases.

Do I need to merge them?

moreover, do I need to keep the preset folder and txt?

Hmmm,

I don`t know what you downloaded.

download this: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/585372/ , exctract and install with JSGME or open exctracted DCS SweetFX 151 folder and copy bin folder in to your DCS World/bin. If you have splitscreen turned ON, open SweetFX_Settings.txt with notepad++ and set it to 0 (to turn it OFF) and enjoy.

also one very important thing to keep in mind when working with sweetFX is...per default most of the provided effects are turned off in the sweetfx_settings.txt...so if you want to play around with it, be sure the proper effect is enabled (the first few rows of the settings.txt 0=off / 1=on)..also another tip..sweetFX offers a on/off Key for the Effect...so if you want to check in Game what SweetFx does press the Key (it is "insert" per default..but can be changed also in the sweetFX-settings.txt at the very bottom)..

My Specs:

I don`t care..it is a Computer..a black one..

Bug? SweetFX and 1.2.10

This may be a possible bug or conflict with using SweetFX and the latest 1.2.10 update and TS3. SweetFX is installed and working properly with JSGME. My issue is this, I use TS3 for comms. my PTT key is ScrLk. When pressed ingame my screen rapidly flickers between what looks like the before and after of SweetFX on or off.

Would someone try to replicate to see if it arises for them also. And yes this happens with only SweetFX activated

Thx

So if i set the toggle code to a number that has no corresponding keystroke, such as

Line 276 in N++ // key_toggle_sweetfx = 145

TO

// key_toggle_sweetfx = 10

It should solve the issue ?

Issue fixed thanks, SHaDoW STeP BG

  • 2 weeks later...

just downloaded and installed this. want to make sure its working...

I extracted and placed contents of SweetFX bin folder into DCS World bin folder.

When I open game, I see the split screen effect on all the menu screens but when I get into cockpit, its not visible.

Does that mean its not installed correctly?

Thanks

When I open game, I see the split screen effect on all the menu screens ...

That`s ok. That is default settings in SweetFX_settings.txt. You can turn it off by editing that .txt file with notepad++.

...

...but when I get into cockpit, its not visible.

If you see splitscreen effect on menu screen you must see same in cockpit but try to look on the sky (one color tone) to spot the difference because default SweetFX setting differ slightly from dcs.

And YES, you are install SweetFX correctly. Now you can play in SweetFX_settings.txt vaules and make some settings for self or download some from this forum if you like it.

Download this settings and put it in your DCS World/bin folder and tell us is it ok now please.

Tried this AND the download in post 1 - still have splitscreen.

I have opened the file in notepad++ and its definately set to '0'.

Any ideas gents?

Edit: Never mind, I discovered that you have to disable mod and re-enable it again for settings to work.

Can I just copy the Sweetfx I have in Cliffs of Dover to the right folder in DCS?

Sorry if this shows my ignorance of computer stuff.
