Open Beta

opem beta release or stable release?

I was wondering the same thing, but only the Beta updated. I did notice after the update that my version from 1.54.54855 remained the same. It did not update the version to the newer DCS 1.5.4.55169 that was indicated in the release. Don't know if that matters or not, but did pick up on it.

Intel i5-4690K Devil's Canyon, GForce TitanX, ASUS Z-97A MB, 16GB GDDR3 GSkill mem, Samsung SSD X3,Track IR, TM Warthog, MFG Crosswind pedals, Acer XB280HK monitor,GAMETRIX KW-908 JETSEAT

From what I understood of Chizh's post about 1.5 update, it seemed 1.5 Stable will get updated too, is that right? Or will we need to wait another week after Open Beta version?

Edit : forget it, update is dowloading for stable :D

I keep getting: Error, unknown module F-5E for both the Alpha and Beta when I try to update / install

Update first then install F-5E

problem: latest 1.5.4.54855 (dcs_variant.txt = openbeta) is not updating :( what should i do ?

"force" update does not help. it does the same - "checking for updates..." then nothing

Okay. I must have got ahead of the curve somehow. I just updated the Release version to the latest release. Went back and ran an update on the Beta Release and it updated to the latest release as well. Thanks ED!!

Improved is my guess.

Is that with this update or the future 2.5 with improved caucus map?

Looking at the shots it is clear that ED has dished out their own texture update

As well as some changes to the lighting.

As Stated:.

In the coming weeks, I hope to release some new screen shots and details. I think many of you will understand why 2.5 has been taking longer than expected. It will be worth it.

If you're not happy with Steam, why use it? The policy of releases there is not a subject for discussion any longer as it has been flogged to death long since!

There is, and always has been, a very simple solution.

Back on tooic, the update is excellent! Love the F-5E, and the scenery is top notch too.
