You were not alone, I also really enjoyed the movies of those two back in the days. I think pretty much everyone did, at least in germany :D And don't forget, he was way more than just a movie star. He won a silver medal in the olympics and was the first italian to swimm the 100m in less than a minute. On the communist era there were very few non-romanian movies allowed to play here, and his movies were part of that exception. As kid I was very happy going to cinema and watching Bud Spencer and Terence Hill. I also observed that at his elder age he looked very lightsome... showing that he really was a good man in this life.
