DCS 1.5 Huey overhead windows too tinted

Not a new thing. Not a bug in my opinion. It's developer's choice.

They're way more tinted now than they used to be. They went from "strongly tinted" to "basically opaque."

Here's a 1.2 pic and a 1.5 pic for comparison. No mods used for either cockpit. You can tell in the latter shot that the overhead window is almost flat black, you can barely see the rotor blade through it and around the edges it's entirely opaque.

Yep they are and the slightly green tint is also missing.

Here's another screenshot from 1.5 for reference to compare it to your first (1.2) image.

I agree, they are more tinted for me also. I also am not a fan of all the dirt on the cockpit glass... I mean, we're supposed to be down low looking for ground targets, etc. and it's real easy to mistake some dirt for a vehicle at distance... and what crew chief in his right mind would let a copter go out with such a dirty windshield? None that I ever heard of. I really hope they rethink this one!

Totally agree here too. If it's a developper's choice, it's a weird one ! Not one Huey that I've seen on Youtube has those nearly opaque overhead windows, they are always crystal clear green.

As for the windshield, its not just way too more dirty than before, it seems to have been completely coated with something which totally kills the light. There's definitely something wrong.

Maybe the overwhelming and flickering cockpit and rotor blades shadows that are now seen on the winshield are related with this opacity.

I noticed that the green radioaltimeter digits are now almost unreadable because of this general cockpit dimness.

I can't believe that they broke an almost perfect Huey :)

Well it might as well be some weird shader issues. I've noticed in all the modules i tried (like 4 maybe) when doing some rolls, there are weird transparency changes when looking around, whereas it's all crystal clear when straight and level .

So maybe, MAYBE, it's not only huey related.

and i second the remark on the dirty windshield, in reality, the glass being close to your eyes, the dirt (if any) would be out of focus for the eyes, and the brain would just skipp them. but on our poor screens, everything is equal, ground target, dead flies, dirt... please whipe it ;)
