Strix
Today I did test to use my keys on a Dual boot PC. I do use Windows 8.1 and a test of Windows 10. I use one SSD hard drive to both OS! Different partitions to run it!!! Windows 8.1 on a separated partition, and Windows 10 on another separated partition. Else I cant install Windows 10 without killing my Windows 8.1!! I booted in to Windows 10 and did run it from my catalog on "C:\DCS World\bin\DCS_updater.exe" I did have to register my keys again! No problem. Then i did run my windows 8.1 and then it will update my key's, but i get an error for first key, and all other to. I will tell you that I did change my CPU for 15 days ago! But I did start DCS: after that on Win 8.1! Before I did install Win. 10!! Is it possible to run Win. 8.1 and Win. 10 in DUAL BOOT? And why do I get this message? So I need some help before I do any more wasting of my key's... I will submit a file with info. I did have to compress it..... Regards DrStrixtxt5E5D.rar Win 10 64. sobek
It is not possible to simultaneously have DCS modules activated under two separate operating systems, no matter whether they are on the same hard drive or even on different computers. As soon as you activate it under the 2nd OS, your activation for the first OS becomes void. Edited March 23, 2015 by sobek Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! ctguy1955
I cant even get win 10 to get DCS to start up. Hope this is fixed sometime soon for me, but I have already spent many hours messing around and installing and its just crazy. I dont remember the code for the fail but a "repair" did not fix it. I did not try to run win 10 dcs in compatibility mode ?
